Given the OP, that says more about you and not anything good, I might add.

Why?

You think a crude comment is a worse offence than illegal drug use, assault, rape or shootings?

Get a grip.

Never mind the fact that he's saying he has more respect for more hockey players than athletes in the other two sports. I didn't read where he says this particular athlete is one of those he respects.

You might try understanding a post before judging the person who wrote it.

STFU NJ.

So, because one hockey player made one comment about women hockey players as a whole are not great, dedicated athletes who are wholly underrated next to basketball and football players?

Way to stereotype and blanket generalize. And you even go so far as to judge the person who respects these athletes that you have mischaracterizef through your hasty, irate generalization.

Your hypocritical stereotyping says a lot about you. And nothing good, I might add. GO RED WINGS!

He is definitely an interesting player. He's hated not only by other teams, but by his own team for his antics. This is the guy that came up with the interesting move to face a goalie and start flailing his arms and taunting so to distract him from the puck. There wasn't a rule against that kind of move, but now there is! Another interesting fact, he is a confirmed metrosexual. He likes to attend fashion shows, even has favorite designers. Of course this gets him called a fag by other players.

Yea, suspending him over that is just PC-Nazism at it worst. So hes a pig!? BFD...lots of guys are.

OK, this is a good example of how to misuse the idea of PC, or to argue against it. Most who complain about PC nazis cite over-sensitivity that somehow limits an individual's rights. Yet, Avery is:
-- supposedly an adult and a 'professional' athlete;
-- employed by a league that sells tickets to the public, and that must be concerned with its brand and image;
-- has signed a contract that specifies acceptable and unacceptable behavior; and,
-- works for a professional team that more or less owns him as long as he cashes that check.

Now, I am a dude, and all, but if someone on my staff said that in a meeting, I would definitely discipline them. Why? Because it was offensive and disruptive to my firm, and ultimately affects how much money the firm (and me for that matter me personally, but let's not talk about bonuses this year, OK?).

I'm surprised the guy showed his hand. Obviously its bothering him that the other guy is laying pipe to his ex. Now half of the U.S. and Canada know its bothering him.

If I were the guy dating Cuthbert, I would have that interview playing over and over in the bedroom while I was...well, you know...

As for the "sloppy seconds" comment, it's amazingly arrogant and bitter. He wants to be the Rodman of hockey, but it's just not working for him.

I remember that lame move he made in last year's playoffs. It was legal but unethical, IMHO. Turning his back to the puck and face-guarding Brodeur was bad enough, but waving his arms and stick like a mad man just made him look like an dork. If a goal was scored, he would have looked like even more of an idiot!
