I also don't really care about his orientation one way or the other. If he is queer that would raise my interest a bit since I find queer actors more compelling or interesting. But if he's straight. That's fine too.

But people generally seem to love gossip/speculation about the love lives of celebrities. Not really my thing but whatever.

Nah.. Mind you, more viewers would prefer the actors playing gay roles to be straight or acts manly at least, not femme/loud/queer/unattractive. Just compare how RWRB is a big hit while Bros, Glamorous and the likes are flop.

I personally enjoyed the Rafael Luna storyline and imho it does have an important effect on Alex as a character. The replacing that with some shallow reporter ex storyline left me cold. (that said, Juan Castano is gorgeous).

I get what they were going for and putting more focus on the actual couple. I just personally wasn't a fan of the changes and missing characters.

This, a thousand times this. I hated how the limited precious time they had to tell the story and that could be used to include beloved scenes from the book was stolen by the creepy reporter. The Rafael Luna plot would have made the movie a thousand times better.

It’s a really awkward question to answer & I liked that he recognised there are opposing opinions about it and it’s complex. And that he & the director had discussed it. I’m kinda on the fence about it but I loved Nick’s Henry so I’m not sad they decided to go with him for the role!

Movies, unlike other artworks, are primarily products whose only objective is to generate profits. If people put their money in making a movie 99.99% of the times, there only concern is getting a profit on their investments.

I can understand what you mean, even if I disagree. For prime, right now, their profits are from not only their subscription but also how much time people spend on their apps. The movie is getting them a good engagement from viewers and it's all that matters rt now.

The bad reacts is more for the weariness and insistence about the queer topic in basically all the mainstream medias the last 3 years, that for a genuine homophia reasons. Sometimes I feel like we're boycotting ourselves with so many rainbows in all the mainstream brands
