Do you need to feel scene in a fantasy romcom? As a gay man, I personally don’t. It’s about a Prince & the son on the president, I’m not seeing myself in either of them. I do kinda see a hint of myself as a teen in Henry in the struggles of what others might see me as if they knew I was gay but ultimately they are two characters I cannot possibly relate too.
What I do love is it’s a gay romcom. They did not exist when I was younger. The booked is loved by people of all sexualities, I can’t tell you how happy & hopeful it makes feel that straight people want to read or see gay men in love. Treat it like straight love. I love that.
