Nicolas he was so elegant in a black suit, a cookie to munch on, his eyes...
I'm sorry but I can't take Nicholas seriously in that movie. The whole plot is ridiculous LMAO
TBH most of his movies are cheesy!I'm sorry but I can't take Nicholas seriously in that movie. The whole plot is ridiculous LMAO
Was thinking the same, the first serious thing he did is M>BH most of his movies are cheesy!
Has anyone had any thoughts about M&G? I've watched it all, some scenes more than once. It moves so slowly, many of the scenes are simply too long (except for the sex scenes, most of which are very brief). Nicholas is eclipsed as an actor by an experienced crew of hardened professionals (not just Mary and James). Being beautiful and versatile isn't enough, I guess. As I see it, Nick's performamce in RWRB, for all its little flaws, outshines M&G by far.I'm sorry but I can't take Nicholas seriously in that movie. The whole plot is ridiculous LMAO
Here on this forum we're all biased in favour of babygirl. That's why we're hereI recognize I went to watch the series avid to see him, I need to rewatch with proper subs because they make a huge diff in my case
I found portuguese subs and rewatched the 1st episode so far, I wouldnt have thought about the modern language, that`s a good point I would never see by my own.
I dindt think he wasnt at the level of the other actors (Im a huge fan of Nicola, her Lady Hatton is fantastic, he reminded me of Maggy Smith in Downton Abbey)
Maybe Im biased?
Probably![]()

Fantastic costumes, makeup, props, jewellery etc., and of course the settings are unique. But the use of modern English, heavily laced with expletives, doesn't sit well in such a precise historical context.
People will disagree, I'm sure. Fine. Let's have it! Comments on the show have been surprisingly scarce so far.
I do agree with the modern language they have and the exaggerated use of expletives. It is very entertaining, yes, but it's not realistic, although I know they have built a very specific world in the series so I don't really hold that against them. They were not trying to go for being the most accurate period series and you can tell with the way the trailer was edited, the intro of the show and the characters posters.I recognize I went to watch the series avid to see him, I need to rewatch with proper subs because they make a huge diff in my case

OMG, this is what I just wrote in my comment above, regarding the writing! You phrased it more objectively! Here on this forum we're all biased in favour of babygirl. That's why we're here
I just regret that the young George is made to appear so naive and clumsy, that the script writers didn't come up with enough "ammunition" for him in the dialogues, and that they let him grow into a monster with little or no transition.
It will be hard for Nick to improve in the shorter term upon his performance in RWRB. Intensity, wit, tenderness, vulnerability, a thousand nuances and vocal inflections, the iconic Paris scene. A sequel might not be such a bad idea after all, but it would have to be brilliantly written.People can complain about a million things with RWRB, but Henry is character that, like Alex, had a growth that made sense and didn't rely on embarrassing him and the writing favored him a lot.
you think he was better as Henry as in George? It will be hard for Nick to improve in the shorter term upon his performance in RWRB. I hope Matthew M. Lopez himself writes it, maybe a two-hander with Casey! It will be hard for Nick to improve in the shorter term upon his performance in RWRB.
