The only issues I have with Reese Rideout is that he’s probably the biggest example of someone who used being “gay4pay” to self-promote, as a gimmick and to support straight presenting/hetero/hetero-leaning presenting superiority. While he dragged his clearly uncomfortable wife to multiple interviews to support his “gay4pay” and “straight-presenting” stance and get some press, which came off borderline abusive. He hasn’t aged poorly, and it’s not really our business when it comes to his sexual dimensions and journey, his struggles, his relationships, where he is in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic attachment, emotional investment, relationship, commitment spectrum. But those behaviors were so icky, insecure, gay-panic-y and borderline abusive that it pretty much ruined the fantasy of one of my first porn crushes. And now, he’s once again depending on “gays” for money and status and hook-ups. But his early scenes were frequently some of the best in gay porn at that time, especially since that was kind of a sterile, dull stretch.

Well, he'll see this because he's joined the board. Maybe he'll respond; maybe he won't. Personally, I believe gay people bear the sole responsibility for the attitudes we accept, no matter the performer's identity. Ryan Rose is a very controversial figure who identifies as gay, but the community has supported him even at what I believed to be his worst off-screen behavior.

We, as a community, are generally shallow. We just want the nudity, the fantasy, and/or the sex where possible. Swinging Richards in Atlanta used to hire mostly str8-identifying performers, whose girlfriends would show up on occasion. BUT, most of them eventually set their prices. There was always a wealthy gay man willing to meet them at whatever high bar they set. That is economics. If I could sleep with Travis Kelce, I would, whether or not you harangued me about it.

Porn performers are not the keepers of our mental and emotional health. WE are! (Porn performers/ Sex workers have their own shit to resolve!) If something is unhealthy for us, we need to learn to walk away from it.

My ultimate porn crush was (and largely remains) Leo Giamani :emoji_cupid:My heart still flutters, and I am far too old to behave that way! I am not one to pay, but if it were possible and arrest-free I would, gay-4-pay, bi, str8, whatever he is! I just want the sensation! And living in the moment is also a key part of life.

I am grateful that Leo is quiet and not visibly on social media. I still have all my fantasies intact. He could still get it today (mouth, ass, dick, feet, ears, whichever)! And that's because he's not on social media for all the sanctimonious gays to pick apart and diminish.

On another note, I like the new Reese. I think he's still very sexy. I love that he's blurred the lines, and I imagine that the sex is very professional! (Little known fact about sex workers is that they have professional sex.) I think his relationship status is between him and his wife/gf. She's an adult, and doesn't neede to defend her honor or tell her she needs to make different choices. Her choices are none of our fucking business!

I am a little weirded out that Reese has joined the board, but I understand his wanting to protect his IP (content).

These threads always end this way :emoji_raised_hands:

This is what I mean about some of your posts exuding a bit of internalized phobias, gay resentments, talking down to “gays”. I don’t think you’re a bad person, but some of your posts definitely make me side-eye. But we all have work to do.

From my experience, “gays” aren’t any more shallow than anyone else. That’s especially the case nowadays with so much variety on every front. On hook-up apps and forums like this the shallowness and judging people based mostly on physicality or sex appeal really stands outs. But if you are actually “out”, know many “gays” and a variety of different queers in real life you don’t really that.

I don’t keep up with Ryan Rose, but I know he hasn’t gotten much work since his crazy behaviors, and I know he received a lot of criticism years ago. Of course, he probably still has a following because they always do. But his profile and porn career seemed to take a huge hit. While there are of course many “problematic” porn performers. But this is the Reese Rideout thread. That interview pretty much killed his sex appeal for me. He blatantly used being “gay4pay” (while likely knowing he was in the queer spectrum) for some attention and press and to soothe his insecurities and gay panic. And from what I can tell, he hasn’t really apologized for that messy excursion since returning to porn. While no matter who is grown, you can often tell when someone is being used, when someone is just going along with what someone else says and when someone is being provoked to do something they don’t want to. His wife did not come off like a supportive spouse in that interview. She came off like a meek hostage.

You can still have the hots for him. I’m not here to control who people have a hard-on for or who they fantasize about. Just like I’m not here to try to dictate people’s dimensions, preferences, lifestyles, relationships, where someone is in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic attachment, emotional investment, commitment spectrum. But some of y’all are willing to sellout or become “pick me” queers in order to defend these dudes, appeal to these dudes and protect your fantasies. That’s what I find irritating.

Also, I wouldn’t have even posted in this thread again if the person who’s apparently Reese Rideout didn’t like my previous post and then follow me (thanks for the follow). Let me as well say that I understand that in the world of both queer-dom and sex work that there can be a lot of traumas, internal struggles, mental health battles, confusions, contradictions, fluidity, hyper-sexuality, self-hate, fractured egos, insecurities, resentments, etc. And I try to temper my posts with that understanding. But get back to what y’all do.

Sir, you are not the leading expert on homophobia, nor are you the final arbiter on what is a valid opinion. You are in multiple threads preaching at all of us, and none of it sounds like it has any joy in it.

I have tried interacting with you respectfully, on multiple threads, but on the whole it has been to no avail. You insist on condescending me. I am 46. I do not require your approval.

I wish you peace. We won't ever interact again :emoji_raised_hands:

And that’s fine. Like I said, no one needs anyone’s permission to have the hots for whoever. It’s the defending and dismissing of things like homophobia, internalized homophobia, gay panic, “straight presenting” superiority, “straight”/non-homo privilege, leeching off of queers, abuse, assault, racism, etc. that I see sometimes in these threads which I find disturbing. While it really doesn’t matter how old someone is. People no matter what their age could use some self-reflection. However, it’s all just par for the course when it comes to this forum, especially in these porn performer sections. I also have to accept that this forum is flooded with 35 year old+ closet cases/DL guys who contend with a lot of internal dimensions, struggles, insecurities and who are mostly driven by sexual fantasy. However, I wouldn’t have even seen the comments on this thread or commented if Reese hadn’t given me a like and follow. Once again, y’all get back to doing y’all.

He very rarely allowed another guy to rim him even when he bottomed. Is there a reason for this? He has a beautiful ass!
Looks like he was just rimmed in the latest video he released. I don’t have it but saw the preview!

Funny, he did an interview with his wife on a daytime talk show insisting that he was straight.
That was about a decade ago though. Perspective can change in that time.

So is he 100% gay? He’s been having a lot of full on sex with men?

Bisexuals exist. I guess people can say pansexual as well, if that makes much of a difference. In any case, it makes much more sense now than what he said over a decade ago. Personal growth happens and societal acceptance of homosexuality has changed since the 2000s

I don’t understand how you were banned on 2 occasions but johnjohnson is going strong with his thesis on Gay4pay and homophobia. It’s literally all the time
