I've seen a lot of performers do this. It is for one simple reason to milk the big big big spenders. It isn't about the value and it isn't about taking the average fans money. All big performers have members who are whales. A whale is someone who will spend $1000+ a month on them. Many times they will spend $10,000+ a MONTH! It's crazy. So when you see a piece of content that is for sale for $500. It's the performer testing the market and seeing who the big fish are. Then you can be sure in private messages they are going to go hard to try to make more off those guys.

Most of them probably don't even care about the content. The same happens on cam sites. The performers make all their money off a few whales and the whales are the ones who don't even care so much for the visual.
