I thought he said that they never had a relationship with a man. (Which, by the way, bi people who never have a same-sex relationship are just as bi as anyone else, but I thought they had been clear on that.)
Na, him and Kyle both confirmed it. Kyle has nothing to gain from lying as they haven't interacted since then.

I’mma be straightforward and then I’m going to let the Nico sh*t go hopefully forever. Nico simply comes off like they hate guys, and fine. Cis males are the only type of people they’ve publicly criticized. Cis male individuals are the only type of person Nico has been willing to name and criticize publicly. “White gays” are the only demo they’ve publicly shamed. “Gay” is the only identity they’ve publicly gone after. So, beyond just being cringe-y, narcissistic, leech-like and sometimes saying some ignorant stuff, Nico clearly has/had a lot of resentments towards cis males. It likely has to do with some traumas, abuse, insecurities, bullying, feeling ostracized, general struggles with their mental health, sexuality, fluidity, where they are in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. So, I get that. But I could never support someone who said so much, yes, harmful stuff and has never apologized for any of it. (And they were in their 30s, grown as hell and did it over the span of years). Yet, at the same time spent years milking their queerness for publicity, opportunity and validation and leaning on “gays” to maintain relevance.

Nah they did.
It’s difficult to say it was a “relationship”. It seemed that they fooled around with each other for a handful of months and did attention-seeking photo shoots and a couple of interviews together. I believe Kyle ended up feeling used, as the last time they publicly interacted was kinda cold from him. It seemed as if Kyle thought because Nico wanted to be public with him that it was more serious than what it was. Both in the moment and especially in hindsight, Nico appeared more interested in getting attention and queer validation for being in a “gay relationship” than he seemed legitimately into Kyle. I do believe Nico has hinted towards having a previous gay relationship before that. But they only hinted towards it, and it was in just one of his many interviews discussing his queerness and sex life.

Once again, my issues with Nico’s public presentation, behaviors and some of the things he’s said don’t have much to do with identities, whether he wants to be with a guy or not, where he is or has been in the gender, sexual, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. People really need to stop whittling down justified criticisms to that basic stuff.
