Nico really milked the entire pansexual, gender-fluid identity. They centered themselves in the conversation, used it for all it was worth, and then dropped it completely. When they were on Celebrity Drag Race, they were difficult to work with. The queens that did that episode have talked about their attitude and the meltdown when they didn't win (because they deserved it).

I don't think the identity is fake necessarily but I think Nico used it for publicity to get roles, a podcast, a book deal etc. The fact that they completely did nothing to help or work with the community and then abandoned it, says a lot.

And now to live the most cliche heteronormative public image of life. Wife, pregnant, masculine, family. Yawn

I have no problem with them marrying a cis woman and having a baby. But the fact that Nico did that while completely dropping the entire narrative about being fluid and now only presenting as masc... it's questionable. No matter what the truth is, it comes off as fake and using the community for attention.

Yeah, I was always super attracted but as soon as I looked into the person themself, their style, the hats, the aesthetic, the "gender-fluidity," everything just screamed douche bag to me. I barely want to respect their pronouns tbh

It seems like Nico saw queer-dom as an escape from the pressures of hetero and gender normalcy. But once they realized that that’s what they preferred, they saw queer-dom as a way to get some clout and praise and to be seen as “brave”. Even at the beginning of their “coming out”, it came off less about wanting to be free and keeping it real or uplifting queers. It was what the “queers” could do for them and what “gays” owe them. If Nico could actually act and had a solid, stable career, I doubt that they would have been doing all of that, might have even stayed closeted.

As I’ve said many times, I have some sympathy for Nico and can relate to a lot of their issues. Fluidity, questioning, hyper-sexuality, contradictions, queer insecurities, gay resentments, self-misandry, mental health struggles, the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum- these things can be a difficult terrain. As can be sexual and identity politics. But Nico spent years going about things in such a narcissistic, self-serving, insecure way. Them moving on from being “oh so queer” publicly was inevitable.

The fact their Instagram was purged of everything up to January this year speaks volumes.

Oh ya, their instagram totally screams 100% straight cis guy, you caught them lol. Seriously peoples fashions and tastes evolve and you don't need to in a dress and glitter to be queer.

Do any of you ever get tired of pages and pages and pages of saying the same shit? I can understand if something new happens and therefore a discussion takes place, but at this point, if you don't like Nico, why do you even waste a single breath talking about them?

Nico has updated their Instagram account plenty of times. "Scrubbing" content before January, or any time, is not new for any celebrity. But I guess we will ignore that they reposted their "PRIDE Month" photoshoot from Paper Magazine literally two months ago.

I don't even care about Nico that much, but the fact that so many of you spend exhaustive time just bitching and hating with no real purpose is so perplexing.
