have you guys tried no FAP at all? is it something that has helped you if you did? did you find you were more productive without it? I am extremely conflicted. I have the daily urge and need the release, but it does take up a lot of time and energy. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it, recommend it? and if you feel it's improved your productivity and mental health?
thank you!

I could honestly say that stopping masturbation, is one of the best things that I ever did. I now get my sexual releases, only through sexual-intercourse with women (no hand jobs or blow jobs). Ive been masturbation-free for about 5 years now, and since that time Ive felt better, both physically and emotionally. Im opposed to masturbation (specifically spilling/wasting my seed), unless Im having sex.

Theres spirituality to sex (sexual intercourse is spiritual). If done by yourself you are technically wasting away your sexually vitality, and masculine energy (hence that fighters dont ejaculate, whenever they are in training).

But when done with a woman (the exchange between male and female energy)-- the man is able to hold on to the masculine energy that may be lost upon orgasm, making the ejaculation less harmful.

I had to go without with masturbation/sex for 60 days after my adult circumcision. Worst 60 days of my life. Ejaculation is healthy. Frequent prolonged periods of no release can damage your prostate. I remember growing up in church there was always some old guy battling prostate cancer. Now I know why. Going through their whole life thinking its a "sin" did them in. But you do you.

Very unhealthy, men should ejaculate daily for a healthy prostate, also the whole female only thing to save your male energy thing seems very very homophobic and sexist. Never mind dangerous for your prostate

interesting. all good points. regarding "saving your male energy", for me, I'm merely talking about how I lose energy, ambition and drive after release and I'm trying to reconcile that. would i be more productive if i didn't release is what i'm questioning.

thank you!

Well considering that Im Heterosexual, Im only able to speak from the Heterosexual perspective.... Some of you guys on here are too easily offended, or seem to try to find something to be offended about....that in itself is unhealthy...

If we are going to see it your way, then you must be heterophobic, because youre speaking from a homosexual point of view (hey, you have try to be consistent, in your thinking).

Maybe you should try some activities to help with mental focus. I don't think it's masterbation that's your problem. Plenty of guys are able to burn the morning wood before heading off to work with no issues.

true. yes, when i had to rush out the door and get to the office for work, it was not an issue.

now i'm home waiting for jobs to come back. it does require a higher capacity of discipline.

Ill send you a link through pm.

I wouldnt want more people to fall of their high chairs, because of something that I might post or type on the topic...

You've only been around here a few days and have managed to get people annoyed with you. Usually not a good sign of longevity around here.

I was aware of there being a correlation between frequency of masturbation and decreased risk of prostate cancer, but that doesn't support your claim that "prolonged periods of abstention damage the prostate". I was aware of the former all along, aware of its lack of relation to the latter, and anticipated that there would be nothing showing up readily if I went searching for the latter. So it's on you to present some evidence. The article you linked to doesn't cut it. If you don't understand why, then I suggest Googling nuance, semantics, and the logical study of meanings of different sorts of propositions. While you're at it, look up the phrase "correlation does not imply causation".

It's your prostrate, not mine. Do with it what you want.

And besides, masterbation is a much better use of my time than arguing with a troll.

How do we know he's not ejaculating daily from sex. My wife was up for that at point and sometimes even more than that. It's probably less likely if you've been married a while and also if you don't have a long term partner and have to rely on one night stands for sex.

But this wasting seed argument is silly. The biological purpose of semen is to transport and nourish sperm whose purpose is to get a woman pregnant so most of the time you have sex she doesn't get pregnant and your seed are still wasted. Even before you factor in deliberate contraception, for three out of the four weeks of her cycle there is no egg in the Fallopian tubes and won't be for the five days or so the sperm can live there. Then what about when she's already pregnant?

If you feel better emotionally by avoiding masturbation and blow jobs it's because you've absorbed some teaching about these things that is not founded on scientific research or a knowledge of anatomy and whether you comply with that teaching or ignore it has an effect on your mental state. But you'd probably feel just as good if you had never encountered that teaching in the first place.

As for feeling energetic or not, there definitely is a change at orgasm where we tend to feel much more relaxed, even sleepy, but that happens during sex too. How many jokes have you seen about the woman wanting to cuddle afterwards and the man falling asleep? But this effect is relatively short lived. It's caused by hormones released into the blood during orgasm and, like all hormones, they get removed from the blood and that effect "wears off". So yes, cumming a few minutes before a sporting contest may be a bad idea but the night before is fine. Those who push this idea of energy leaving your body with your cum have almost certainly observed this relaxed feeling but mis-explained it and over estimated how long it lasts.
