"We can't impeach for hypocrisy. We can't impeach for arrogance. We can't impeach an officeholder for his lack of leadership skills," said Rep. James Harrison, the Columbia Republican who headed the panel.

Since when do we not terminate people who are in a position to lead people for their lack of leadership skills?! We all need to make a note of this... because I'm sure this will come to bite them in the ass REALLY hard.

    Was Harrison referring to Obama?

Ericsson, after 8 years of Bush you're accusing Obama of being a lousy leader? Bitch please. Oh, and South Carolina is a political shithole.

But they CAN impeach him for misappropriation of $74,000 in state funds used to fly to Argentina. South Carolina deserves whatever it gets with its government.

Exactly! Somehow they missed this fact. Perhaps Sanford should have received a blow job from an intern?

Did you forget to take your meds again?

How about impeaching the guy for leaving the goddamned state- hell, the country, without telling his 2nd in command, or ANYONE, where he was going- and thus leaving no one in charge of the state? PLUS, using taxpayer money to fund his trysts. BULLSHIT

Let us all not forget that Sanford was in Congress during the whole Lewinsky brouhaha, and was one of those family value Republicans calling for Clinton's resignation. Yep, just another Republican hypocrite. Exactly like toe-tappin Larry Craig

Because if they did, they may have let him go scott free as well. You know, in keeping with the theme that SC made a mistake in not impeaching Sanford for his actions and not trying to twist this into another Democrat/Republican shitfest.

SC fucked up. Big time. Just like jason_els said, that state deserves what it gets.
