So, overnight LPSG has removed the ability to download videos.
I can understand that many posted in the forums are taken from other sites and probably shouldn't be there in the first place and downloadable. But what about ones uploaded exclusively here?
My biggest gripe is ones sent from one member to another in private conversations. If I make a video especially for that person to see, I want them - if they want - to be able to download it to view when and where they want, and vice versa.
In my opinion, a video sent from one user to another is a gift, and LPSG shouldn't have the right to deny users from downloading their private content.
Whether it's a shortcoming with my phone or my internet service, I often find trying to watch videos on here a bit hit and miss, and bizarrely it's often quicker to download them to view. If I can't do that, there isn't going to be much point in exchanging videos privately anymore.
