Last Monday i had a no scalpel vasectomy. The doctor gave me some pain killers and preventative antibiotics. After the swelling and tenderness calmed down I noticed that my left testicle had a kind of hard lump from the ball itself all the way up the tubes. I went back to the doctors Friday morning and he said I had a haematoma in the tube he cut on the left one and that it was fine. He gave me more antibiotics, that it would go away on its own and sent me on my way.

Its still hard, tender and quite uncomfortable. Anybody any advice or been through the same thing?

Ok here's an update. It's still got a lump and it's still a bit uncomfortable but it is not that sore. The actual procedure itself was not that bad. Local anaesthetic was good and the doctor was very considerate of my comfort and pain levels and gave me more local if I asked for it. It took about 45 mins all in all. You're supposed to do absolutely nothing for 2 days afterwards and then take it easy for 7 to 10 days. I have a very small wound on my scrotum that is healing very well but im still concerned about the swelling/lump on the left side. If its still there on friday I will go back again. For those that are interested here is a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qlaqa7PBP68&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I cant wait for all this to be over. I haven't had an orgasm in 2 weeks :(

hello average,
I too had a vas (no scaple) in 2009 and the left side has never been the same (not to scare you) but i have been going back and forth to the dr for 5 years from injections into the vas and testicle to finally having to have it reversed and that fixed all the pain and issues i was having. I too had the haematoma and a granuloama , what the doctors dont tell you is that 40% of vas have issues and 20% of those have cronic pain and have to have another proceedure to correct them... I hope that you heal and that everything is ok for you. Looking back if I had known that 40% have issues I personally would have never had it done!
