Pardon me, sir, for taking issue with your generalization. But as a native Virginian with a brother who has been in Boston 35 years and sisters who lived up there for various amounts of time, I would have to say the "for sure dicks" seem quite contentrated in the urban northeast. Virginians are very polite by and large, certainly no less so than people away from the East Coast. I haven't gotten culture shock from general goddamned hateful meanness ANYWHERE in the US but Boston and vicinity. The drivers, good God almighty! Rural New England is just fine though, loved the winter I spent in Vermont.

NOTE: I am referring only to the East Coasters who move to Southern California.

I think the situation in greece is quite exciting. I doubt there will be a true people's revolt there, but it may encourage those from Spain and other countries that are getting shafted to rise up and say no.

Colin Powell was given the wrong office. He should have been made Sec. of Defense, not State. Imagine how differently that would have played out.

I agree with Lindsay Graham (that was hard to write) - enemy combatants should be tried in military tribunals, not civilian courts.
