I made this profile without the intention of posting, so forgive the lame name.

I have been doing the free classic beginner's routine for about 3 weeks now and sit down stretches at random times throughout the day, but I haven't seen much gain. Maybe 1/8 of an inch, but i think that's just in my head.

It seems that pumping for a few minutes then doing jelqing would be very effective, and I want to buy a pump, but I am hesitant to do so. I am worried about loosing sensitivity after using it for a while. I know that I should buy one with a pressure gauge, but I can't find any locally. I guess I'll just have to order one online. Also, what is a safe pressure range? I read that it's better to have an erection before you start pumping. Is that true?

Btw I'm a hair under 7" and I have a girth of just over 6" at the base. (Not exaggerated in the slightest bit)

Edit: I measured with the ruler pushed to the bone. And I have noticed a difference of maybe 1/2 an inch in my average flaccid length. I do these exercises after soaking in a warm bath for about 10 minutes. How crucial is the warm down? I don't do that for that long, although I guess if I finish my exercises and stay in the bath for a few more minutes that would count as a warm down. I spend a lot of my time sitting at a desk, so I could do the sit down stretch often. How effective would that be without warming up/down, and how often should I do it? Oh, and I'm 18, 142lbs, very healthy, and just about done growing in height. (6'3)

Also, should your penis feel sore or different in any way after these exercises? I don't feel anything after exercising and I'm using an ample amount of force, and I don't feel any any pain during the exercise.

I said I don't feel any pain during the exercise, or the slightest bit of soreness after.

Three weeks really aren't enough to see much difference so 1/8th of an inch is actually very good. In my experience based upon what others have said, you need to give it at least three months.

With PE you work and work and work and work and you don't see anything. SO you work and work and work and work some more and still you don't see anything. You're pissed but you figure why not give it a little longer so you work and work and work and work and work and work even more. By this time you're pretty damn pissed off, sure that nothing's happening, positive this is all some huge snipe hunt that everyone is in on except you but you have one fading last glimmer of hope so you work and work and work and work and work and fucking work your goddamn ass off you're so angry it isn't working....... and then you see some solid real gains.

The number one reason, by far, PE doesn't work for a lot of guys is that they get discouraged and quit. It's understandable given how much effort goes in to getting each little but verifiable gain. Yet when you see that gain your entire perspective changes and you really get into it.

Really young and senior guys tend to gain the fastest. A lot depends on the ability of your suspensory ligament to remain in an extended state because that's where the so-called easy gains come from. Some guys have a naturally relaxed suspensory ligament so they're what are called hard gainers. Their gains will come almost exclusively from tunica expansion. It's really frustrating and, again, is why many guys quit.

PE isn't easy and it requires immense patience. Whether the rewards are worth the effort is up to you.

No problem. It's normal.

Warm-up and warm-down are extremely important. It prevents injuries and helps with gains. Warm baths are good but you want some steady warm heat. The rice sock is a godsend in that regard as it holds heat so well. That or a heating pad OR sitting in a hot bath.

If you're using the bath, you may want to water pump. For this you can get a brake bleeding kit. You have the handpump, with gauge, a tube to a plenum (a jar thing), another tube, and the cylinder. This allows you to water pump, which is the very best way to pump as the water distributes heat and pressure perfectly evenly over the penis. The excess water goes into the plenum instead of the pump. Another option is to get a bathmate which is made for water pumping.
