Unaccustomed as I am to making public announcements I figure this is worth sharing just because it underlines how equally mundane gay married life is. It's April 1. In the English-speaking world and some other places it is also April Fool's Day. No such tradition exists in Argentina. Therefore, this is not an April Fool's prank, although it might qualify if looked at from the right perspective.

The Squeeze shows up without notice this afternoon (approximately 30 minutes ago) when he should normally be at work. Neither of us drink alcoholic beverages much, except for the occasional glass of red wine or cavé. In his arms he carried two jeroboams of Perrier-Jouët. Surprise! It's our fifth anniversary as an officially legal married couple. You'd think I'd remember something like that, right? Wrong. We've been together much longer than 5 years. But on paper we've legally been each others ball and chain for only 5 years. I'm a bit chagrinned to discover I'm the typical husband who forgets wedding anniversaries. :smlove2:

As I write this The Squeeze is singing away in the steam bath/shower. The champagne is in the freezer compartment. It appears I must ready myself for an inebriated evening of hand ball on the extra firm king sized "cama matrimonio." :adam4: :069: He's even had a giant bucket of ice delivered.
