- b.c.,
It's not enough that Trump & Co. has placed bans on Muslim immigrants, has snatched children from the arms of Latino immigrants seeking political asylum, and has characterized them as criminals and rapists.
Not enough that he and his supporters have engaged in hate based demagoguery and rhetoric that has fanned the flames of racism and inspired its open expression by neo-nazis, supremacists, bigots, and separatists, who in turn are now so emboldened as to march their hateful bile through the streets of America and enter into races for political offices.
Not enough that black people are having cops called on them for everything from barbequing to selling lemonade.
Not enough that he, his administration, the Supreme Court, and conservatives have engaged in voter suppression efforts based upon the outright LIE of voter fraud, and that they are pressuring states to purge their voter rolls of mostly minority voters, often in error and without notice.
Not enough that they've attacked affirmative action in college admissions and sought to quiet protest on police misconduct, by pressuring the NFL to enact rules that penalize players.
Now Trump and his gestapo like henchman, Stephen Miller, want to limit the opportunity for citizenship for LEGAL immigrants. But not ALL, mind you.
No, the underhanded b------------------- are planning on crafting the policy in a way that MOST likely will affect poorer, black and brown skinned immigrants:
Now the Trump administration wants to limit citizenship for legal immigrants
"Details of the rulemaking proposal are still being finalized, but based on a recent draft seen last week and described to NBC News, immigrants living legally in the U.S. who have ever used or whose household members have ever used Obamacare, children's health insurance, food stamps and other benefits could be hindered from obtaining legal status in the U.S.
Immigration lawyers and advocates and public health researchers say it would be the biggest change to the legal immigration system in decades and estimate that more than 20 million immigrants could be affected. They say it would fall particularly hard on immigrants working jobs that don't pay enough to support their families.
Many are like Louis Charles, a Haitian green-card holder seeking citizenship who, despite working up to 80 hours a week as a nursing assistant, has had to use public programs to support his disabled adult daughter."
