I always had a question regarding this...

How do you stop from being aroused? With all the naked people around your bound to see something attractive or is the publicity of it all kind of inhibits your arousal?

In North Miami Beach there's Haulover Beach, which is near enough to be able to go whenever I want to and can get a ride (I'm car-free): I love it there.

It's large enough to have several areas: families, younger singles and gays all have their traditional zones. I agree with the many posters who've described it as "sensual" rather than "erotic".

In the gay part you can always count on a few guys in their 60s and 70s sporting Viagra hard-ons. It's just part of the scenery and has never aroused me, personally.

I think there's a difference between nudism and exhibitionism. Nudism is enjoying the freedom of being unencumbered by clothing, and nudists come in all shapes, ages and both genders. Exhibitionism is a kind of sexual "fetish" (to use the term loosely and not correctly) where people get an erotic charge out of being seen either nude or engaging in sex. I'm in a gray area in this regard: at the beach, I'm a nudist; in certain situations involving consenting adults, I am an exhibitionist.

There's a difference similar to using your penis both for urination and for sex: same object, totally different purpose

I've been to Gunnison Beach in New Jersey a few times. Great beach for the area. The experience there was more sensual than sexual. It was erotic in a sense, but not in the "wow, this is really hot" sort of way.

Been to several different nude beaches and resorts over the years. At times been to them by myself, others with the ex and family. I would say some of the most clean areas on the beach/river sandbars. Often times pretty friendly people, when one needs to talk.
