So I have been invited to a nude birthday party and and trying to decide should I go. The person that invited me is not really a friend but rather just some dude that I know, who is a nudist. I really don't know any of his friends, nor do I have any friends that I could invite without looking at me weird. LOL!

I really want to go just because I've never been to a nude birthday nor ever thought of having such a party.

It's not until Friday, so I got time to decide but just wanted to here what you all thought.

go there's a first for everything, see what's it like and if you don't like the scene; have a backup plan and leave ( like going on a blind date)

Go and have fun. Chances are you won't be self conscious after the first few minutes.
I have parties like this myself.
The last one I had the invitations read something like this
What... A Birthday Party for________
Where... nudeyorker's house
When... 20, July 2010
Time... 7:00pm until whenever...
Attire... Birthday Suits Required
R.S.V.P
No Gifts Please

Just go and have fun :) If it gets awkward or you feel uncomfortable, just tell the person and be nice about it.

I say always try new things and if you don't like it, don't do it again!

most definitely, go! if you like, it - cool; no regrets. If you don't like it, you'll have found out for real and not just from not giving it a try. As lots of others have said, you can always leave early if you aren't comfortable or don't like it. let us know how it goes!

I've been to many nude pool parties: it's one of the benefits to living in Florida. Like everyone has said, if you don't like it you can always leave.

Think about how nasty people are when they are drunk AND have clothes, never mind this. I wouldn't want to share any of the food or drink from fear of pubic hair.

Also consider its being held by nudist hippies. How many hippies you know that have good hygiene and properly wash their ass? I wouldnt even want to share a couch.

It's just my opinion, I would stay away from this. sounds like its going to be a sausage party with quasi-homosexuals, unless thats what your looking for with your 10% craving.

It depends if you've ever had any nudist experinces yourself to date and if you have had any desire to practice nudism up to now. If you havent then it might be to much to soon jumping straight into a nudist party with alot of people you dont know. Nudism has to be taken at your own pace.

why put the poll out here, just go!

It might be awkward at first if you don't know anyone or don't bring a friend with you. After a few drinks, people loosen up and it could turn out to be one of the most fun things that you have done. I have no qualms about taking off my clothes at a nude beach, but inside a house may be a different thing. As others have said, you can always leave if you don't like the scene.
