I do agree with the feminism aspect trying to limits on male relationships. Some women want to run around with their gf's but feel threatened by their husband having close male relationships.
I don't agree with blaming it on Christianity. Think about it, the YMCA required nude swimming among males of all ages. We grew up with open locker rooms, and gang style showers.
Also, I think lack of time spent with dads/sons in the company of other guys is a factor. Too many people are spending time in front of the TV and electronics. They run like headless chickens trying to do everything that is available but spend so little time on relationships.
Finally, so many in society try to make every single situation sexual. I have a couple of men friends who like to give me bear hugs. One is thankful to have me as his friend. None of it is anyway sexual.
I agree completely. One other thing I would like to add is absentee fathers that don't model appropriate behavior for their sons. With the high rate of divorce and single parent families, more boys than ever are being raised my mothers only who project their perspectives and hang ups about nudity on them. It's no secret that women have a completely different perspective on this.
