nudity during physical exam

Same, that said I understand from other forums that it is an age thing. After ~40 the nude exams purposely stop. Some forums say the risk for things one would catch through a nude exam is negligible after about that age. Others more crudely say they basically give up the trouble on those who are over that hump. Dunno the truth, would be good to hear from a Doctor, there must be a Dr in LPSG?
I have not had a naked general / anual physical for ever. This year at my physical I mentioned what I thought were two lumpy lymph nodes to the doctor and he just asked questions and about but did not look (!); when it was clear he was not going to look I just took my shirt off and showed him. He seemed taken a back and yes he was right it turned out to be nothing, but hey....
Contrary to my annual PE (post above), my derma annual this year was fully naked. I have seen this doctor for many years, he is about my age, but this year he seemed extra condoning of nakedness and chill. He complimented me a lot about getting in shape, gave me an extra vibe of 'just hang out nude, its cool'. He had to do a little cut on my testicle for a hair follicle gone wild and a few mole biopsies in a few other areas so called the [female] nurse for assistance. I had a bit of an embarrassment ( or opportunity) today. I went to my urologist's office for an annual check-up and to have him check my epididymal cysts, which have been aching for a couple weeks. Had I know that I was going to have an x-ray, I would have worn something. I told him that I wasn't wearing underwear. In the past, I would be offered a flimsy air of disposable shorts, but not this time. He just said, " I'll just cover you with the sheet and It will be okay, unless you are uncomfortable." I said I wasn't, so I lay on the x-ray table with my pants down to my knees. He came over, looked down at me and carefully placed a sheet over me. I'm very glad that the technician was a man, instead of the usual young woman. I suppose, in that case, I would have asked for the flimsy shorts. But, I can't recall ever being naked like that in the x-ray room. It was memorable.

I've had several ultrasounds, each of them a little different. I suppose because a great number of ultrasounds are done on pregnant women, the technicians will most certainly be female. You change into the gown, naked from the waist down and lie on the table. The first one I had, blankets were put on my legs and stomach, a little towel was placed between the legs to elevate the testicles, the testicles were exposed and a warm gel was put on them. I had placed my penis upward under the blanket and the only worry I had through the entire procedure was that it would pop out accidentally. Fortunately for me, it never did. It seems like it takes forever the first time, as it is very thorough. after it's over, you will be given a paper towel to wipe off the gel, then you can go get dressed. The third time I had one, the technician was an older woman and she didn't expose the testicles, but covered my lower half with a blanket and went in under the blanket, which kept me much warmer. I preferred that technique. anyway, it's harmless, painless, and ( once you get over the idea of being exposed) an interesting adventure. Hope they don't find anything bad.
My first experience with a nude physical was rather perfunctory. It was a draft physical to see if potential draftees were fit enough to go to Vietnam. About forty nude guys going from station to station in a very large room. I’m sure is was meant to be demeaning but those of us in athletics were used to ring naked in large groups.
My most recent experience was a visit to a dermatologist where I was asked to strip and Loy on the table. He did ask if I wanted a towel and I declined. The great thing was he examined every inch of my body and dictated the results to his young very attractive assistant who was right by the table. I actually enjoyed the experience!

A few years ago I went to a new doctor in San Francisco for a physical. He was older (and gay) and it was definitely the most thorough exam I ever had. He looked at every square inch of me, did an extensive genital exam and DRE and when he pressed on my prostate I thought I was going to explode lol. He answered all of my questions and I remember leaving feeling so relieved about a lot of my anxieties.
I live in Los Angeles now. I’ve been to a few doctors since and none of them were thorough at all. Typical asking questions, typing a lot on the computer, ordering labwork, and sending me on my way. As someone with a history of rectal issues this is not okay to me.
If anyone has any recs for an old-school doctor in Los Angeles who does thorough nude physicals including DRE, I’m all ears (and feel free to DM).

Try to find a doctor who used to be a military doctor. In my experience they are very thorough and not so concerned with modesty.
True. I have found the same with the older, foreign born doctors. Modesty is not paramount. Also, a gay dr or one who caters to gay men. You can tell them everything and not be shy, knowing that they will check things out thoroughly. I know one can find foreign born or gay doctors ( or both) in LA.
