I dont walk around in the nude freely very often. To be honest, I have smacked my bedroom door on more then one occasion when spinning around. Its quite painful. If I am just sitting here at my computer watching Tv then yeah I dont mind. However, friends often just show up at my apartment and walk in. Has gotten me into trouble once or twice when horny. Knowing how people hate to see new threads started when there are previous ones on a subject, I found this one on nudity. I looked for it because the more recent ones on the subject seemed to not be a good fit for what I wanted to say... Then again, maybe I am hijacking the original intent of this one also...
I love being naked, but of course was expected to be clothed most of my life. We didn't have a lot of this covering up business in our locker rooms when I was growing up, just one guy with mental challenges who wore his briefs in the shower, and a good looking surfer who for some reason never showered with us. As I've said before, I think this current business of being so timid bespeaks larger problems.
No doubt greater public awareness of homosexuality is part of it, but I also think the whole "stranger danger" thing has warped a generation or two of kids. While more children are abused by people they know than by strangers, we continue to think that teaching them to never speak to anyone they don't know helps them be safer. Meanwhile we also disconnect them further from healthy human contact by encouraging, or at least allowing, excessive video gaming and other activities that preclude actual human contact.

I don't mind nudity at all. After all the orgies and sex in public under my belt (pun intended?) I've lost all inhibitions. I don't have to walk around the house naked or in most places for that matter because I sweat a lot and when I sweat I get sticky, so I'd sit here and there and I take along dna material of all sorts. Clothing absorbs my sweat so I think it's comfy. Another problem is that I might be an exhibitionist or might have exhibitionistic tendencies so I get turned on when I'm naked around people. I wouldn't mind that if I were hung like all you folks here, but I'm not, and hung or not, not all people are ok with people being nude. I wouldn't want to be nude around my parents or any female member of my family for that matter, or any kids. Well, right: clothes are a lot easier to clean than upholstery; so, there are some practical reasons for wearing them. And while I am always intrigued by families where members are comfortable being nude around each other, mine is not such a family. I'm just fine being clothed around them and most of my friends.

I've been a nudist for about 10 years and agree with the statement as to how friendly and considerate people are at nude beaches. Nudity has a tendency to "strip away" attitudes and let each person, large or small, fit or not so fit relax and learn just how nice people can be.
Most people who you meet and talk with on nude beaches, saunas/spas etc are friendly people- there are the few who you would cheerfully strangle but probably the same in any walk of life.
Being outside sunbathing and walking to/from the sea is a lovely experience, and once you have swum naked you never want to swim with a costume again. I have never been on a nude walk in woods or any distance apart from a few years ago when on holiday, between two nude beaches (one official, one unofficial) via the coastal path. I found it a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and the freedom given to my cock to move around without restriction very nice. I came across very few people and no one seemed shocked or offended, perhaps given the proximity of the two nude beaches. After a short while it seemed just normal, just as a naked swim or sauna does- it becomes a natural thing to do.
In an environment without clothes it's true that a lot of the divisions between people seem to matter less if at all. There are many people who've I have met through using saunas regularly who have been an inspiration in some way, and others who have been interesting to talk to on a whole range of matters. There are few social opportunities that don't include stuffing yourself with food or drinking, or have such a wide age range of people.
I am sure that I am a more relaxed and happy person for having discovered saunas and being able to sunbathe and swim without clothes. I don't go for other activities naked, but I'd recommend swims and saunas naked but never force it on anyone.
