This is prolly gonna be out there, but I have this thing where if I take cold medications (like NyQuil, DayQuil), it is exponentially harder for me to get a nut. I get hard just fine, edge good, but when I would normally be getting close, my mind just doesn't follow along with it.

I will say though that if I do get a nut, it is way more intense than normal.

Anyone else experience this too?

Maybe it’s the virus and not the meds?

Naw, I can nut like crazy while sick, but once I take the meds, it's like something in my brain just shuts down.

Know how you're usually cranking good, know it's coming and then finally hit that point of no return? It's so hard for me to hit that point.

A lot of cold and sinus med tend to enlarge the prostate....so it can create a temporary problem....

The things U learn here on LPSG :) If I'm sick enough to have to take cold meds I'm not feeling up to cumming anyways.

When I take antihistamines for allergies I get an erection just fine but it is much harder to ejaculate, and when I do, it is a much smaller amount. Are their antihistamines in those cold medicines?

Erection is largely a cholinergic response (acetyl choline. It is associated with being free of anxiety or anger. You can be aroused but your mood is calmer and mellow). Ejaculation and orgasm is a balance of cholinergic and adrenergic effects (adrenaline/epinephrine). Antihistamines, pain killers and "cold cures" tend to have a greater cholinergic effect and block adrenergic effects.

Erection and maintaining an erection is fine but ejaculation can be delayed or never reached and the sensation of orgasm can be dulled or absent.

tyluvslax - you may count yourself as fortunate if you can sometimes reach a more intense orgasm.

Exact same effect I had from taking an anti-depressant. Felt like some of the longest, most unsatisfying orgasms I ever had.

Sometimes I wish the docs wouldn't be so quick to go to that shit when they smell PTSD.

I have the opposite problem if I take anything with a decongestant, I'll ejaculate without the least bit of a hardon. I have to be careful taking it, usually within 2 or 3 hours I will blow a full load, totally uncontrollable and without an erection. It's very weird.
