I'll be there. Where should we meet up?

 I'll be there. Will be working that day, but great idea to go as a group, and will make it harder to get lost. ;)

I'll meet ch'all wherever, if I'm still invited after last night's antics with Hellskitchen [head hung in shame. Thanks, for nuttin, Hell.]

So far on the list is:

Mem
HellKitchenmanNYC
Nick8

Chockokittie, will hopefully meet up with us there.

Please join us for our 39th annual NYC LGBT Pride Day March!

The March began as an annual civil rights demonstration beginning the year after the Stonewall Riots in 1970. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to the illness, violence and neglect. It has also evolved to include being a celebration of our lives and our community.

To watch the March step-off you should be in the 50s or upper 40s on 5th Avenue. For larger crowds and high energy, anywhere in the village is ideal. For smaller crowds, many enjoy watching in the 30s, 20s, and teens on 5th Avenue.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary.

Pridefest

Hudson St. between Abingdon Sq. & West 14th St.
Sunday, June 29th, 2008, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Dance on the Pier

Pier 54, 13th St. @ Hudson River Park
Sunday, June 29th, 2008, 4:00 – 10:30 PM, Fireworks
The World Class Fireworks Show over the Hudson River 6-29 at about 10:30 PM is free.
Great viewing from Hudson Park accross from Christopher Street.

Happy Pride! Get out and Celebrate!

I have to do Maid-of-Honor things next weekend, and also prepare for a huge exam. This summer is going to suck for me.( I'm especially sad that I keep missing these events because they are all withing 15 miles of me, and I'm moving away from here very, very soon.

Me too, I am moving to South Florida at the end of July. That is why I was so glad that I was able to make the last gathering, and I hope a group of us can get together again next Sunday.

Hey -- only just now saw this thread. Live in NYC and already planning to go to the Parade -- actually am gonna be IN the parade, marching with one of my sports groups. But I'd love to meet up with you guys, as soon as I can (ahem) ditch my other group. I know it's gonna be chaotic & unpredicatble, but if anyone can share their cell # (PM me), I will try to find you.

Might be interested in going to the Eagle later that night. Anyone else up for that? The roof deck is great for a Prideful cigar! Let's hope for hot steamy weather to encourage maximum shirtlessness.
