I'm visiting NYC in early December. Can anyone recommend a midtown/Chelsea gym that sells day passes and has a decent weight room & a good sauna/steam room?

Manhattan Plaza Health Club might be an option, though I can't speak to the quality of their weight room. The rest of their facilities met or exceeded my expectations so that might be decent as well.

38th used to be really easy. I swear. I guess things have changed. I haven’t been in months since I canceled my membership, but there are videos of guys jerking and playing around in the showers at 38th. I can send you the link if you want proof lol. It’s not as easy to play in as other gyms, because there’s no steam and the sauna is small. But the action at that gym used to be really hot and consistent. It might help to try being the guy kicking the action off.

Yes! The tribeca location is pretty discreet. showers, saunas, and steam room all the way in the back. shows have curtain so you can def do a lot in there. suana might be risky but steam seems a little better.

i asked the counter guy (black guy w a caesar) about it. i got there when he was cleaning it up early, around 6 pm. he said that it needs to get inspected by the city, apparently it’s going to happen at all the other locations. it should be back up in a couple weeks. this was about a week ago

Flatiron equinox used to be reliable. But recently there are the same trolls that just stay in the room for hours, day after day. Everyone has their right to be there, but if I can tell people aren’t interested, I leave. Any other recs on equinox locations? Tribeca, sports club, and highline used to be reliable but haven’t been in a while

Yes, both sauna and steam room open. was there this past week before noon and gym and locker room was pretty much empty.
