Their mom is Italian and their dad is English/Scottish. They’re obviously fraternal twins and Nyle must have strongly inherited his mother’s genes while Nico got their father’s. It’s certainly interesting to see the phenotypes so polarized. The utter lack of resemblance between them wouldn‘t lead you to guess they were even related, let alone twins (albeit non-identical ones.) Ironically for Nyle, who looks like he was plucked right out of Southern Europe, DiMarco wasn’t their last name at birth. It is their mother’s maiden name and they started using it at some point after they got away from their father. Otherwise he would still be Nyle Thompson…doesn‘t have the same ring to it. Nyle DiMarco works much better for him professionally.

What’s wild is they have another brother. The twin actually more resembles the 3rd brother but that’s genetics some times. I remember he posted a younger pic one time of the two of them looked more alike then. I know it some cases twins even identical start to look a little diff the older they get.

Red hair is recessive, so you have to get the genes from both sides to have it. I haven't seen photos of their father, but being of Scottish descent I'm taking it as a given there are redheads in his family tree. It's a bit more unusual in Italians.

fraternal is the indicator that it could be any Tom, dick, or Marco
