Quite a while ago I had a pair of Nike "silkies". I loved them because they were so comfortable and truly didn't even attempt to hide anything. I think one of my fraternity brothers stole... ahem, borrowed... them from me. Not too long ago a buddy who actually was a Ranger (artillery) came for a visit and wore some around the house. It got me thinking about getting me a pair. What are your thoughts on these? Only for in the house or ok for public?

I am sure a lot of the military guys here remember them well, and probably some runners, too.

Get them now! your cock and balls will thank you. Apart from being extremely comfortable, they are with jockstraps, fucking hot and need to be brought back into fashion asap.

They are 100% fine in public, just be aware that your cock might "pop out" when sitting down (not a bad thing if you ask me)

Haha, that's a funny coincidence, because I just recently bought myself a pair of Soffe OD silkies. I cut out the lining in them; they're not tight enough to be supportive, they're not loose enough not to rub my dick head red. So I always wear a jockstrap underneath them or else I'm all over the place, and I feel better when there's a layer of something between my ass and wherever I'm sitting. Because otherwise, what'd be the point of wearing a jock with silkies?

As far as wearing around the house, my roommate has seen me wearing my silkies and jock..he dgaf. I dgaf; he's seen me in just a jock a hundred times by now so if it ever bothered him, he's over it. But for working out in public, the OD green is too see-through to be decent in a gym or somewhere with women around, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned like that? I'd get a pair in black or something less transparent if I were working out in them in public while I was wearing a jock in place of the liner.

Like a guy in another thread, I'm looking for something contradictory in a swim suit and hang-out-with-my-friends shorts. I don't want my bulge to be the first thing people notice, but if a person takes the time to deliberately check out my crotch, I want it obvious that my equipment is above average.

Actually, in two weeks I'm meeting up with some fellow geeks for a weekend of geeking, drinking, and hopefully some sex as well. When I was reading up on different sites I saw people saying that they went by the size guide and they seemed baggy. I saw one site that sells them suggest going a size down from your normal size. Normal for me is medium, so I went with small. Kinda second guessing that now. I guess I'll see soon enough.

I'm a medium-but-working-towards-large for most athletic shorts. Mine are medium and they fit well without being too tight. I could likely wear a size large just as easily though, but a small would be too tight, I think. Soooooo...good luck with your size S shorts, but I think you'll like a medium more.

Well, if they end up being too small I guess I could keep em for pool or hot tube. Maybe? If not, I can always give em away. Thankfully they are pretty cheap.

mehhhh...it's elastic; it'll stretch or shrink. Either way, they'll be long enough for working out at the LRAC. I used to work out there all the time and I'd wear silkies-like shorts. And, there are the odd USMC guys who wear the real deal to work out, and that was non-issue. You'll enjoy the attention with them though, because your girl-friends there will notice and then blush when you catch them hating to see you leave but loving to watch you walk away.
