Why would you buy a mansion one feet above the high tide line, knowing that in less than ten years it is going to be completely under water due global climate change?

Obamas pay $11.75M for Martha’s Vineyard home on nearly 30 acres: report

And look at the size of that carbon footprint! Yowsa!

I am worried for them, really. They know the oceans are going to rise catastrophically, so why make such a terrible mistake in judgement?

Probably because of what President Barack Obama called 'the audacity of hope'.

It's like when you don't deny a problem but face it, work at it and hope it will work.

No you're not. This is vintage 'whataboutism.' The idea is to distract from the Trump turd in the US punchbowl by saying 'look, Obama did stupid stuff too.' Obama is not president, Trump shouldn't be president, but is. Try to stay focused.

What should concern us all is how some of our elected officials become so rich being "servants of the people". Democrats and Republicans alike. A lot of back scratching and cozying up to big money. Like George Carlin said, "It's a big club,.....and you ain't in it!"

He also said "garbage in garbage out". It's not the politicians that suck.

Both of the Obamas wrote books. A lot of people bought them.

You libs are just dense. Politics IS whataboutism. Thats why we have elections.

However the greater point is green hypocrisy. If you were convinced the ocean’s were going to rise and swamp low lying areas, no one would buy a home sure to be devastated in less than a decade. Imagine how many irreplaceable things you could lose. Insurance companies wouldn’t offer protection to properties sure to be lost.
