You received it by email and have not yet properly checked it out, yet you post it here with a glaring headline.

You say it is "supposedly written by".....

Gee, confidence is inspired.... Not.

Oh, for heaven's sake, let's dispense with the the nonsense. Chuck Green is not a ilberal. He wrote a column in which he advocated for a Palin Presidency.

This article is from from 2010.

You're trolling.

And I'm calling you out for same, despite your calculated effort to cultivate the reputation as the "reasonable conservative on the board". I watch you barely unable (and sometimes, in fact, unable) to conceal your partisan troll agenda. Just as now. You try to cloak it in occasional amelioration and even conciliation and comraderie. But you can't hide it for always. I saw it from the first, and I see it always.

Troll.

You couldn't help yourself this time and you posted an entire article(!) of two-year old ridiculous crap as if it were a "new story", purely for the purpose of inciting.

You're officially outed.

I received this by email, and have not yet properly checked it out. But it is a funny piece, and is supposedly written by Chuck Green, of the Denver Post. Thought y'all might like it.

Here goes...thoughts? Reactions?

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises!

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first term in office:

Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever.

Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever!

Wow! Talk about change.

Just over two years ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation's most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America 's first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.

Of course, they don't see it as self-imposed. It's all George Bush's fault !

George Bush, who doesn't have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies The White House, is to blame for it all.

He broke Obama's promise, to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama's promise, to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama's promise, to end earmarks.

He broke Obama's promise, to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama's promise, to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama's promise, to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America 's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama's promise, to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama's promise, to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama's promise, to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama's promise, for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama's promise, to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter.

Yes, it's all George Bush's fault! President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration. If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, all of President Obama's problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel . North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

Oh, and did I mention what it would be like, if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn't have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks? There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying ( Nebraska, Louisiana ).

If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, we'd have real change by now.

All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama's fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It's all George Bush's fault !

Take for example the attempt of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City . Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.

Two disastrous decisions.

Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush!

Need more proof?

You might recall when Scott Brown won the election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, capturing "The Ted Kennedy Seat", President Obama said, Brown's victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years. And they wanted change.

Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts , was George Bush's fault.

Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats. It is all George Bush's fault !

Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and and change ever arrive ???

Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something / anything?

Ah, there's the bully I've come to know and love. Hello, SilverTrain. It's nice to hear from you again...it's been a while!

Let me get this straight. You've been *watching* me? Like a stalker? Pray tell. What did I do to earn your special attention?

And, now you're trying to explain away my generally pleasant demeanor, as being part of a concerted effort to establish myself as the "token" conservative on the board?

Dude, you need to find a hobby. And, preferably a hobby that doesn't involve stalking people whose only crime is being nice.

Special interests (read megabuck corporations) are who is currently running the show. The problem is not Democrats or Republicans at all. The problem is the complete inability to wean both parties off the "special interest" gravy train.
That's my perception too.

Its also the definition of fascism.

Osama Bin Laden - Dead.

Detroit - Alive and kicking

Unemployment - down to 8.2%

GITMO still open. Could have sworn he said it would be closed by the end of 2009.

Detroit? Kindly stop waving that around. It began under his predecessor. Sure it was late in his term and it can be said that President Obama would have done it as well but the fact is George W. Bush began it.

Unemployment figures are less than believable. Consider the number that used up all benefits, stopped looking. Technically they aren't unemployed any more.

Bin Laden being dead is nothing to brag about. First off, groundwork had already been put down by George W. Bush and crew. Second, it was probably not the first big money attempt on President Obama's part. It was admitted after that they didn't know if he was in there or not. How many other attempts had been made and how many others were killed? Killing bin Laden goes against the supposed standards of justice which the U.S. talks about......hold people in prison for an indefinite time and then have a trial. I'm glad they got him, glad he is dead, I feel it was not done the right way.

As to the opening item post, yeah, it's old and doesn't reflect the current stuff.

Obama gets the credit for killing Bin Laden. He auhorized the mission and the kill. If the mission had failed he would have shouldered the blame and possibly ended his political career ala Jimmy Carter. If George Bush had have gotten him the Republicans would have been beating their "we're tougher on terrorism" drum incessantly.

I have no intention of ignoring his efforts on Detroit. What his predecessor might or might not have done is immaterial. Obama took the necessary action while the Republicans excoriated him with their "Government takeover of business " BS. Even his presidential opponent wanted tbe car industry to go belly up. Yup, that's the bold economic thinking we need in the White House. Obama gets the win. Deal with it.

Unemployment numbers are always fudged. Republicans are fudging them now, too to suit their purpose. But if they were in office they'd be using the same calculation as is Obama. This is politics, the fact is unemployment is heading down even if somewhat slower than we would like to see or the administration would like us to believe. It is certainly better than when Obama took office and be gets the credit for that.

I agree with Gitmo. Wish he had closed it and I still think he should. I'm not happy with every decision Obama has made but that's life. I am confident that he will close it in a second term as much as I am confident a President Romney will not.

just as the spike in oil/gas prices can't possibly be controlled by the President ... Since the "oil markets " are world-wide... Or else Bushed would have been a one term President... Unemployment numbers aren't exactly anything any President really can't influence. Since it has a lot to do with market forces... But since the are... The jobs situation was bleeding basly two years before Obama won the Presidency. We were bleeding off jobs at a rate of 100,000 a month. So to say its O's fault is a bigoted liar.. Ans a Right Wing tool who has had an original thought since before Rush went National.

Wow. No substantive answer *at all* to SilverTrain's points?

Interesting.

I get so god damned sick and tired of nutless bedwetting cry babies moaning pissing and bitching about Obama's "failures." No, he's not the perfect president. He's not liberal and he's sure no socialist. If anyone thinks he is, then they have lost the ability to reason.

He has been faced with unparalleled racism since he won in what can be called a landslide over that pathetic miserable old fuck John McAnus.

He has had to deal with Republicans dedicated to one thing only: him being a one term president. Just ask Mitch McChinless McConnell about that one.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, Republicans can not govern. it's all about winning and then stealing everything in site. Ronnie Raygun, the biggest phony and traitor to the United States, and his sleazy sidekick George Bush Sr. left the country in a disaster. So did the drunken AWOL cocaine snorting fratboy, baby Bush.

Nixon and Agnew were both scumbags; the only president with an (R) after his name that didn't totally suck was Ford And who can forget his participation in the Warren Commission hoax?

You'd have to go all the way back to Eisenhower to find an (R) president who didn't completely suck, but Eisenhower had dirt on his hands by allowing the CIA to overthrow numerous Latin American and S American governments.

Can you imagine a modern day Republican voting for something like the Interstate Highway system, or the Democratic plans that spawned the rural electrification of the U.S. or the TVA? Hardly.

He has also had to deal with bluedog Democrats, who are actually Republicans.

Obama has fucked up a lot of things, but one has to consider that he is a compromised man. The last president who tilted at really big windmills died in a hail of bullets in Dallas.... (And yes, there were more than three shots....)

STOP READING THE GOD DAMNED FUCKING CORPORATE MEDIA! Do you really think GE, BP Morgan Stanley, et al want Obama to win a second term? FUCK NO! They want a fucking jellyfish like Willard sitting in the Oval Office. Will he finally bring his fifteen wives out of the closet if that happens?

If the Repukes win in the next election, it's time to bail from the rotting corpse of what's left of this country.

Oh yeah, I get so fucking tired of hearing about how Obama ran up this big debt. He fucking put two illegal wars on the books. You know, the two that monkey brains Bush started.

Obama's accomplishments
The Washington Monthly - The Magazine - Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments

Read this and if a little light doesn't go on upstairs, then you are fucking brain dead!

To name just a few;

Getting troops out of Iraq.
Bin laden dead.
Unemployment shrinking.
CO2 emissions slowing.
Saved Detroit.
Visited more countries and met with more world leaders than any president in his first six months in office.
Ended the previous policy of offering tax benefits to corporations who outsource American jobs; the new policy is to promote in-sourcing to bring jobs back.
Consumer protections against devious credit card companies.
Ended previous policy of awarding no-bid defense contracts.
Improving benefits for veterans.
The FDA is now regulating tobacco.
Limited salaries of senior White House aides; cut to $100,000.
Paid for redecoration of White House living quarters out of his own pocket.
Attempting to reform the nation’s healthcare system which is the most expensive in the world yet leaves almost 50 million without health insurance and millions more under insured.

And as Romney said, "since 2009 the stock market has doubled."

Oh, and he built a swing set for the girls outside the Oval Office.

and he did all that against strident republicant opposition. all the republicants have done is stamp their feet and shout "NO" or block everything they could in the senate, using the filibuster a record number of times

They are so anti obama that if he shot himself today, theyd bitch tomorrow that he didn't use two bullets.

and still.... conservatives have difficulty showing any real and factual faults in his presidency.
