Gosh, I bet it just burns you up inside that a majority of Americans would rather vote for a furriner who hangs out with terrorists and redistributes wealth than put up with four more years of Republican incompetence.

You seem ignorant to the COLOSSAL redistribution of wealth away from the middle class that the conservatives and Republicans have been working overtime on for the past 8 years...

Barack wants to put the money that you fuckers stole back into the pockets of the working people in this country.

Republican incompetence? Is that like democrat incompetence in the form of not one democrat would support John McCain and other republicans on reforming/regulating Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac long before they started the meltdown? That kind of incompetence? Where was Obama and his leftwing friends when this needed "change" = I will answer that for you, he was doing zero like usual.

Less bombshell, more pink sparkler. :biggrin1:

 That would be class war. Class transcends race.
However, since most revolutions are from the top down, you have nothing to worry about.

Ummm … I’m pretty sure you are the only ones that thinks Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac didn’t experience a meltdown recently.

I can see the steam rising from your ears when you write that.

This story originates with a commentary that appeared at Bloomberg.com that stated,
Now, the article was written by an advisor to the McCain campaign, not by one of the Bloomberg staff.

    Except that:

    • The bill was introduced in January 2005. John McCain didn't sign onto this bill until May 2006 (source).
    • The bill had already died in committee by the time McCain signed on.
    • The membership of that committee was comprised of 11 Republicans and only 9 Democrats.
    • The bill, numbered H.R. 1461 in the House, was seriously flawed:

Gosh darn those pesky Democrats: even with too few members to form a majority, they stopped a bad bill cold before John McCain even got around to putting his name on it!

A bill that would go a long way towards averting this mess and the democrats would not only not support that; they came up with nothing better! Obama did zero, McCain tried for "change" and Obama did zero.

No, Chuck Hagel tried for change, and McCain signed on a year after the bill had already died. Signing onto a dead bill for political points is like picking a hockey mom for a running mate. Oh!

Obama "did zero" -- technically true on this bill, because he wasn't on the Committee for Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and Richard Shelby (R-AL) let the bill die in committee and never presented it to the full Senate.

Then again, Republicans were late to the party: Jon Corzine (D-NJ) introduced a reform bill in the 108th Congress that never got out of the Republican-controlled committee.

In fact, there were other attempts at banking reform in the 109th Congress: S.98 had bipartisan support: cosponsors include Clinton and Feingold (and, belatedly, Obama) on the left, and Isakson, Shelby, and Burns on the right. The White House opposed it, though, and so Shelby -- an original cosponsor of the bill -- allowed it to die in his own committee.

So, it's disingenuous to pretend that Democrats were holding up the process, when it was actually President Bush, with Richard Shelby's assistance, that blocked reform from happening.

In a radio interview in 2001, Barack Obama said the civil rights movement failed when it became so dependent on the Supreme Court that it never got around to working toward redistributing income.

Facts, Barney's bf is a legislative originator (got his job from Barney). He drafted legislation years back that enabled unqualified buyers to get home loans. It passed, and then Obama sued Citi Bank representing community action groups. They won; banks were forced to make such loans, sold the loans to holding companies that lumped them together into stock and derivatives. Many were bought by Fannie and Freddie, AIG, etc.

Here's the links, homo Barney and friend along with Dodd, Obama and theDemocratic Congress rolled the whole situation into the biggest nightmare possible. 700 billion bail out will look like a drop in the bucket soon. Leading to....super high taxes on the poor and middle income, job losses etc.. Socialism at it's best.

You don't have to. Just ask Andrew Sullivan.
However, if you're gonna be on the conservative ticket you should speak with some sense considering that you're essentially supporting the team that would rather see gay & lesbians "converted" or even denied their rights instead of empowering them.

That would be like me voting for David Duke. Yeah, he's part of the KKK but I think he'll do wonders for my causes.

Yep, I'm a personal example of this. I USED to be middle class...

I'm not asking for handouts. I'd just like to be able to have a steady job again...
