You liberals do nothing but fall back on defense mechanisms. :nutkick:

The problem is you '
whateveryouwannacallyourselves' are all nut jobs. George H.R. Bush, the last Republican president that didn't sip the Heritage Foundation's suicide Kool-Aid daily, had it right when he coined the term 'voodoo economics' to describe modern day right wing economics. Up is down, right is left, bad is good. Tax cuts = growth and dirty water and no minimum wage is actually good for us.
If you came up with a bumper sticker that pulls together the platform of this year’s crop of Republican presidential candidates, it would have to be:

Repeal the 20th century. Vote GOP.

It’s not just the 21st century they want to turn the clock back on — health-care reform, global warming and the financial regulations passed in the wake of the recent financial crises and accounting scandals.

These folks are actually talking about repealing the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the Environmental Protection Agency, created in 1970s.

They’re talking about abolishing Medicare and Medicaid, which passed in the 1960s, and Social Security, created in the 1930s.

Trickle down has never ever worked in every instance that we've tried it.

Trickle up, DOES work and has worked each time we've tried it (properly, not just handing out checks)

Well it turns out that they were using a exotic protected wood, I think.

From what I understand, the Justice Department conducted the raid to enforce the Lacey Act which was instituted over 100 years ago (but amended and expanded in 2008 to combat illegal logging). Several agencies are involved; the lead agency is the USDA with Department of Homeland Security doing data collection, while the Department of Justice and the Fish and Wildlife Service and others are involved in the enforcement side.
The only references I've seen to the EPA on this story emanate from right wing forums and bloggers who have made some erroneous assumptions.
I'm guessing Gibson will be exonerated.
