Orly Tatz born in the Soviet Union. And you think she's a likely candidate? She couldn't cut it the last time she ran against a Dem, why do you even think she can now. She's a joke, with ONE Issue, O' wasn't born here. Neither was she!! O'bama was born here, and he's already produced his Birth Certificate. Let it die... since it's a Lie. :biggrin1:

by the way, Orly Taitz is the likely GOP candidate for senate against senator Dianne Feinstein this fall. what a hoot! God only know what self righteous bullshit this taint Taitz will try against Feinstein this fall. stay tuned for more CA election fun. once again, the GOP is gonna get crushed in CA as they did in 2010, when they lost the governors chair and what few remaining statewide officials they had in office.
The GOP , thanks to Orly and her wacko friends, are working hard to make the GOP a permanent minority in CA. God bless em......

False equivalency. Obama ran for the Presidency, which has as one of its requirements, that the person be a natural born citizen.

That requirement does not exist for a Senatorial candidate. Therefore, Tatz is eligible to run for Senate.

You can argue whether or not she's a desirable candidate...but she does qualify to hold the office.

As does Obama.

So there's some equivalency after all.

I'm surprised to learn that the article was in any respect based on an actual event! With fools like the OP out there eager to swallow this tripe, you wouldn't expect the writers to bother even to simulate factuality.
I'm honestly wondering if the Obama campaign is considering suing these websites for libel and forcing them to issue a retraction. I personally think forcing them to admit that they lied would send a strong message, but sadly, the same people that bought the story in the first place would probably think it was the President attempting to silence the press.

I'd agree, except for the polls who show the absolutely staggering number of Americans who actually believe this crap. I mean, World Net Daily published a story that declared Obama "might be the Antichrist" as news. And months later, about 18% of self-identifying Republicans said that they believed it was a possibility. I think a strategic strike of lawsuits, forcing these agencies to publicly recant, possibly even revealing funding by the Republican Party or Tea Party, could disgust/shame a good number of the idiots who believed them into not voting this election. If it was done correctly and with good timing, it could be the difference in several close elections.

Shame??? You think any of these people pandering lies for votes can be "shamed" into retraction! How about the "flat earth" society always finding converts?? I think every computer on the planet should be automatically re-directed to "Fact-check.org" every time there is some new issue being pandered as "their" fault!

Not saying the organizations would be shamed, I'm saying that the people who believed them might be. The organizations could be legally compelled to issue a retraction. If someone believes that something is true, particularly if it would have important far-reaching consequences (the leader of the free world, for instance), then finding out they were duped could make them feel disgusted with themselves and the system in general. They'd be a lot more likely to say, "I don't know what to believe anymore" and stay home on election day out of disgust for the whole mudslinging system. The thing is, that would EXCLUSIVELY affect people who were planning to vote against the Democrats. How many elections have been decided by less than 1% of the voting populace? It wouldn't take that many people feeling disillusioned with the political machine to swing those elections.
