This quote was taken from Time Magazine:

"You can't go take a trip to Las Vegas, or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers' dime. There has got to be some accountability and some responsibility."

    -President Barack Obama

That is very interesting, considering Obama is zipping around Las Vegas and LA making stump speeches for Reid and the gang on the taxpayers' dime this week.

...to the tune of $265,000 just in air travel expenses!!

Obama raises money for Democrats out West - Yahoo! News

So - its unacceptable for a corporation to use taxpayer dollars (that may be repaid) for jet travel......

but its perfectly fine for Obama to zip around the country campaigning for Democrats on the taxpayers' dollars.

The constant hypocrisy is moving from bothersome to tiresome. This guy has an unbelievable amount of nerve to openly indulge in the very behavior that he condemns on others.

The hypocrisy is indisputable and key people within his own party should begin calling him out on this behavior.

    Star...

You seem to forget that President Obama is a Government Employee. A big part of his job is to be President and that means going around the country to listen, visit, see, *people*.

The folks at the banks were begging for cash and turned around and spent it on bonuses and vacations.

If you can't see that difference, you are an idiot.

Weren't you the one that was bitching about how $100 Million was chump change? Talk about hypocrisy.

I have a question; aren't all politicians deceivers, cheats, swindlers, liars, fraudsters, and con artists?

he's not performing government tasks on this trip, Mikey.

He's campaigning for Reid 18 months before Reid's election.

Taxpayer dollars are being wasted on things that don't benefit the taxpayer in both instances. The only difference is that it is reprehensible when corporations do it (according to Obama); but fine and dandy when Obama does it.

    Pretty much.

Yet most lack the talent to pull off widespread swindling and cons like Obama - who is a 5th degree black-belt in deception.

Check to make sure that at least some of the costs won't be reimbursed to the government by the Democratic National Committee or similar entity.

    yes, I checked that.

Only a very small percentage is reimbursed. Under the Bush Administration less than 6% was reimbursed by RNC and the % is similar with DNC.

Note: Bush flew around on bullshit party-cheering trips as well - wasting taxpayer dollars for the advancement of the party.

But he didn't condemn corporations for doing it, and THEN turn around and pull the exact same maneuver.

If I were to replace the word "hypocrisy" with "rants against Obama", it would describe most of your threads.

Nothing else needs to be said here.
Rhetorical drivel stomped out like a cockroach in a greasy spoon diner.
