Haha. Read what McCain says in support of redistribution of wealth towards the bottom of the article, and how Palin has been strongarming oil companies in Alaska to redistribute its profits to Alaskan citizens.

Truth is, this country is already practicing socialism. The earned income tax is socialism. This tax goes to welfare programs. Then we have Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Who do you think is the architect of the current earned income tax? None other than the rights favorite son, Ronald Reagan. Since Obama wants to just adjust what Reagan created and he's being called a socialist I guess that makes Reagan the Ultra-socialist or the founding father of American socialism.

Basically any taxation is a redistribution of wealth. Some of the taxes were created by liberals and some by conservatives.

Sarah Palin is one of the biggest socialist from the biggest socialist state, Alaska. Taking money from big oil and giving ever citizen in Alaska a share of it.

One more point about Palin. The attack Obama over windfall taxes to the oil companies. Palin's policy is the same thing but they call it something different to make it sound like a good thing. "Royalties". Pretty clever.

The Republican argument of socialism is joke. The most socialistic administration to date is the current Bush administration. Bush has now socialized the banking and insurance industry. He is not done.

In my country, Spain, rules the Spanish Socialist Worker Party (PSOE) and trust me, is FAR from real socialism. Obama is FAR from PSOE, so imagine how FAR is Obama from real socialism.

USA needs more taxes to: education, corps, health, etc.

The natural resources in Alaska for the most part belong to the state. That is why they are given royalty checks.

When banks began to fail during Hoover's administration, he refused to have federal buyins of the banks because he considered it socialism. The banking industry began to collapse, and people went into a total panic. That is why they are now buying into banks.

Also, point fingers at both parties. Bush asked for it but the democratic leadership of Congress passed it. Putting the blame solely on someone who cannot pass the bailout bill is just plain ridiculous.

Personally, I think we are screwed and nobody is going to be able to save us. This country willingly gave away its jobs and only the unions and a few of us concerned citizens screamed to congress against NAFTA, and the trade deal with China. Why weren't all of you involved back then?
