I was listening to a Mayoral debate in New York and that text happy loon Anthony Weiner said he invented it and it's called WeinerCare. When it's referred to as WeinerCare it almost sounds good.

This is why I HATE American Politics. Because instead of trying to truly figure out a good and solid solution to a problem, they spend more time tearing each other down for the sake of being reelected. That goes for ALL political parties.

It's the illusion of choice and it's all designed to distract from the important issues.

Her whole lengthy sentence can be boiled down to just five words:

Obama smokes; screw universal healthcare.

It's a good thing all those universal things like the interstate highway, mail and the power grid all got in before the wackos took charge otherwise the US would still be a 'developing' country.

by the way, OBAMA quit smoking more than a year ago, using Chantix . his final motivation? when Malia and Sasha came to him and begged him to stop. that did it, apparently.

i nominate Sasha and Malia for US kids of the decade.

Few really understand all aspects of national health care. I hear little about the loss of affective antibiotics due to bacterial resistance. It is now, and will be even more so in the future, difficult to treat infections. These little one cell brain less creatures are outsmarting us all especially the Pubs.

Is this intended as an argument against universal healthcare?

Do republicans really believe they can "defund" the Affordable Care Act?? Or is this just something to get cheers from their base?

the GOP does not want ANYONE , of the 47 million or so without health care, to have it without it being a FOR PROFIT venture.
the GOP cant stand anyone getting an essential public service for what they can AFFORD to pay.
the GOP started us down this road in the early 1980's with Ronald Reagan signing a much-ignored bill that privatized health care.
the GOP can only survive with gerrymandering congressional districts in red states. otherwise, it would NOT control the US house of reps.
the fact that the GOP just voted to cut food stamps to the poor is just one more clue to all of you that the GOP is NOT interested in your good health.

UNLESS YOU HAVE TONS OF MONEY AND GIVE MOST OF IT TO THEM.

I couldn't care less who wants it. If it (AHCA) is/was a sound economic bill that could pay it's own way, it should have been written with self destruct clauses in it that end the program if the assumptions made to fund the program (should be the reason why it passed in the first place) are not met.

All I see now are people, even those who supported it two years ago, bitching that they will pay more, and get less.

Most of what I read on the bill is that companies will throw their employees to the wolves and on the exchange simply because not doing so will force them to raise prices for the goods and services they sell, and thus make them uncompetitive. And they want to sell their goods to the public, or some other nation will.

It's like damming up a river, and having more and more people put their fingers in the dike until it topples over.
