Hmm... well, it is sad that she died, but I wonder how many sympathy votes he'll get for this...

Mrs Dunham's job was done. She raised him, loved him and nurtured him. Now it is his time to soar...I am glad he was able to see her for one last time before she passed. I will be praying for him and his family at this time.

I knew she was ill, but this is awful timing for him to be burdened with such sad news.

Seems this is how the Reps send their condolences:

"Obama for America violated federal law by converting its campaign funds to Senator Obama's personal use. Senator Obama recently traveled to Hawaii to visit his sick grandmother...Therefore, the Obama Campaign violated the FEC's ban on "personal use" of campaign funds when it paid over $100,000 for the Campaign's charter to fly to Hawaii without obtaining reimbursement from Senator Obama."

Classy.

It's a sad, yet bittersweet day for the Obama camp. So many emotional things to be going through his mind right now. :(

Of course, leave it to the Republicans to never miss an opportunity to throw some mud. Absolutely nothing is sacred or off limits to the Republican party. You'd think they'd be at least human enough NOT to try and turn this story into a political shot. But I guess this is more proof that they don't really give a care about life at all. Truly pathetic.

How fortunate Barak was to have his grandmother in his life for so long and I'm sure he's glad he had the chance to see her once more. I'm sure Barak knows better than anyone else that part of the reason he is in the position to run for president is because of his upbringing.

I hope he has a chance to celebrate her life and to mourn her passing.

Breaking the law is breaking the law, even if you have a good reason for doing it.

Regardless, my deepest condolences. At least he got to see her that last time, I'd break the law for that.
