Ultimately i think we witnessed yet another stellar performance in the art of teleprompter reading. Beyond that there was nothing really new other than a "we'll take a look at it" bone he threw to republicans concerning tort reform, and trans-state insurance competition. But then again the last time he said "we'll look at it" he was talking about off-shore drilling, and well, that aint happening, so.... Other than that the big story coming out of this speech will be its vagueness concerning the public option, and Obamas rediculous fantasy world where we are going to be able to insure every american, expand coverage, not cut medicare benefits, and not add $1 to the deficit. This is an outright lie.

Let's see what lunacy the glenn becks make of this now. Failure at any cost is their mantra. Some sort of psychiatric condition seems to prevail. They are pitiful.

yeah no shit. hes the one who brought up 2010/2012. When will you learn ericsson its a waste of time to address that "thing".

Do you need another English lesson, Uncle Ruckus? Read the whole sentence, stupid...

'It's their "seats" on the line in 2010/2012.'

What "prediction" did I make? And am I wrong for saying that seats in the government weren't going to be up for grabs, or "on the line" in 2010 & 2012? Ignoring the fact that these ARE election years? Is your need to label me as a "blind, liberal sodomite" who is a cancer to his race so insanely rabid that you'll once again bypass common sense just to deliver an empty insult? One of these days, you'll learn to stop jumping to conclusions and making idiotic assumptions based on your own ignorance.

Really... THINK about this one before you respond. I don't want to rain on the parade of your party of one.

I often find myself wondering what drives the opposition to the health care solutions: knee-jerk partisanship, selfish disregard for one's fellow man, sheer inhuman cruelty?

The quoted patch of spew indicates it's all the above.

I like parties.

The best ones are where everyone contributes something to the party. Those who don't bring a dish and simply come to eat everyone else's food are not invited back. Then they complain that they deserve to be invited, and this whole debate starts up again, about what someone has to contribute to go to the party. Some people think that contributing nothing is okay, but if everyone shared that view, there would be no party at all!

Joe Wilson has a magnificent set of balls.

Wilson 2012

Are they really magnificent? Have you seen them. Or do you lick them?

Well, it looks as though McCain convinced Rep Wilson to call the Whitehouse Chief of Staff to "apologize" for yelling "You lie!" in the middle of the President's address on health care.

Current polls coming over the wire note that the President's address has been an amazing success, despite so many unanswered specifics. Even Orrin Hatch begrudgingly applauded more than the core of 12 Republicans doing their in-sync frowning routine.

It's so enjoyable to hear a President be able to talk eloquently without a Texas trash accent.

It was reassuring to see the man I elected back in form. I appreciated the clear, unequivocal language of the address.

As an aside - way to keep it classy, Joe Wilson (R-SC). Fucking douchebag.

When that douchebag yelled out during Obama's speech, it looked like Nancy Pelosi was going to personally go murder him. Great speech and I am glad Obama finally told Americans that all of the bull shit republicans have been making up to ruin the bill was false. Finally.

Pelosi looked over to Biden as if to ask, "Was it one of yours or one of mine? (House or Senate)," and then she looked at the seating chart.

To his credit, Rep. Wilson has phoned the White House to apologize saying, "While I disagree with the president's statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility."

That was very civil of him. While iI may agree with Wilson's sentiment, that was not the proper forum or manner to express his opinion.
