Bill said, "Well even Jesse Jackson won in South Carolina," when asked to comment on what it means for Obama to win there. The Clintons keep pressing forward on making this about race and gender.
Goes to show that they'll do anything to win ... but not necessarily that they're racists. And I think their antiracism credentials are pretty solid. (Their moral credentials aren't, though, and have never been. The end justifies the means in the Clintons' parallel universe. But that's made them winners.)
And who keeps "leaking" the story about Obama being allegedly brought up in a radical Islamic school? Who is repeating that dirty lie?
I don't know and you haven't told us, simcha.
There's that whole thing about, "Well a black man can't possibly win the presidency, so we need to field a white person (even if she's a woman)." The Clinton's don't seem to be shy of insinuating that either.
And it makes a certain sense, particularly if the woman is apt to advance the interests of African-Americans.
Bill was raised in the South. Hillary was raised in the racist white suburb of Niles, Illinois. It's in their blood.
Made Bill the first black president.
I really don't think he's racist ... and I think the testimony of a lot of black people over many years will support that.
About Hillary ... well, I simply doubt that she's a racist, but I have no idea.
I tell you, simcha ... if I am being naive here, it won't be the first time.
And I'm less plugged into American politics now than I have ever been.
I respect your posts ... and perhaps I need to start paying some close attention to what the Clintons are doing.
That said, I'm still dubious.
