What is voting about if not the expression of an opinion?

I thinks its choosing the lesser of evils. and based upon who can choose the lesser of evils is going to win out in the end. evolution at its finest? (ah but I what I just expressed can it be categorized as an opinion?) answer is probably yes. so did I just disprove my own theory? I am willing to accept that notion. or is it just an expression of what I have been through in life in combination of genetics. blah complicated thinking is hard :p

btw on a lighter note is that picture on your avatar of you?

When Obama enter the race for the president, Hillary's fate was sealed.

That's what everyone said after Iowa.
The tune was changed after New Hampshire.
Now Obama's done beautifully in South Carolina.
But the tune can change again.
You're ahead of the starter gun, camper joe.
I'd say it's an open race, but I'd still put my money on Clinton.

The reason we get what we get is because of mob mentality. Judging by the posts here, LPSG is not any different. Just as many douche bags here as the rest of the population!

there are also A LOT of black people in south carolina so. don't count yer chickens before they hatch

But I already said he did beautifully there ... doubling Clinton's share of the overall vote and winning four times as many black votes as she did.
But on Super Tuesday, when more than 20 states hold primaries, the black vote won't be quite as significant.
That said, Obama (Iowa and South Carolina) and Clinton (New Hampshire and Nevada) have now each won two states.
Obama's doing very well.
(Clinton, mind you, has also taken Michigan and is expected to take Florida. Those two states won't be sending delegates, but those wins no doubt will do something to increase her momentum.)
I'm not counting my chickens yet, THEEman.
That's what I'm saying.
The race is still wide open.
And my hunch is that Clinton will win, but it's my hunch only.

Senor Rubirosa you will lose your money on that bet.

Its my humble opinion but if Hillary had wanted to win she should had ran 2004.

I might.

Well, it's almost certain that a Democrat will win this time.
So we have to compare her chances of both winning the nomination and the election in 2004 versus the chances of doing both this time round.
I don't know what her chances of winning the nomination were in 2004, but I assume that she felt more confident this year, and that that explains her decision, this year, to make her run.
If she does become the Democrat nominee, her chances, in that position, of becoming president this time out are far greater than four years ago.

Maybe it's just me, but not one of these Presidential hopefuls has the new direction any of them speak of. This is about a $ 400K/year sweepstakes.

To me the only thing SC proves is this is going to be the most racially and sexist charged Democratic nomination process ever. After that it'll translate into exactly one or the other vs the Republican candidate.

To be honest, the whole process is making me ill at this point. There aren't any solutions from any of them and all we have are Republicans with the same terrorism rhetoric for staying a misguided and misdirected course and Democrats that play race and sex cards in their little game of manipulation. I want solutions from these @ssholes that work for all of us, not rhetoric about being a woman or any other minority for that matter as to being the representative of the party.

I feel for John Edwards probably the most, he has to be standing there and knowing that he's going to be 3rd best in all of this. He's your white-caucasian male with no cards to play. Hillary has her "woman" card, O'bama has his "negro" card, all Edwards has are the same issues the rest of them have to play with and none of them have solutions for, which would be the status quo of the olde guard each claims the rest are. American Government/Democracy ceased to work after the American Revolution. Devoid of the English Soveriegnty, America simply evolved into what it has today. We have wealthy nepotistic Presidencies, it's become the same family crap the Kings and Queens and their offspring had in Europe.

Candidly, the only thing missing from the Democratic race at this point is the Gay candidate, who knows, maybe Edwards is a closet homosexual ? If he comes out, then he'll be on equal footing with Clinton's gender card and O'bama's race card ?

If she does become the Democrat nominee, her chances, in that position, of becoming president this time out are far greater than four years ago.
Not to mention this time may be the last viable shot for a Clinton run, which is why I believe they will stop at nothing to secure the nomination. Why would two people who have shown no semblance of ethics in the past start now? The very thought of a Billary co-presidency is frightening on so many levels.

Do not underestimate the power of the Clinton Machine, folks. A South Carolina loss may be just what they wanted.

TheHill.com - How Clinton will win the nomination by losing S.C.

*We may note that the dastardly duo high-tailed it out of S.C. before the polls closed, Bill to Missouri and Hill to Tennessee. Coinkydink? I think not.
