Yes, let's trust the word of one State Treasury Secretary over that of the Congressional Budget Office...bitch please. Try harder.

The State's balance sheet is what should be trusted. Anybody in Massachusetts (from either side) can confirm that Mass Care is a failure, costs are out of control and the Federal Govt. is propping up Mass Care with Taxpayer money that the U.S is currently borrowing from other countries and adding to our deficit.

The Congressional Budget Office is constrained to accounting rules that the Democrats abused to hide the true cost of the bill.

$70 Billion of deficit savings according to the CBO score does not come from Obama's Health Care Plan. It comes from the government take over the Student Loan Program.

The rest of projected deficit savings from Obama's Health Care Plan $68 Billion...will never happen because they come from accounting trickery:

Double counting Medicare Cuts, 10 years of taxes for 6 years of benefits, reducing Medicare spending in the bill and then passing a "Doc Fix" that will increase the spending later.

Not only does this plan have no way of being deficit neutral...Obama's Health Plan will increase the deficit and cost taxpayers trillions of dollars. It may cause our economy to collapse.

Or, it just may work out, eventually, and then the He/She and Holy It wouldn't have yet another thread to continue ranting on, like her birther thread that's proven so ridiculous.

And how is that birther gate certificate thing going for you, Holy?

What's even funnier is when they claim they're not being "racist" all because they don't use slurs or name call. Such unbelievable cockamamy it's shameful.

The new and improved Ku Klux Klan has eschewed the practices of old and has cleaned up the language and even has a website, where well written articles of separation are distilled without the crude language of older hooded cross burning days.

It doesn't change the bottom line.

Of course ZOS23xy is right. For example, a stupid pig is still a stupid pig regardless if she's been elected and then resigned as Governor of Alaska. LOL! Did I just write that! Oh my.
Only if the stupid pig is wearing lipstick.......

I say that individuals should be able to sign an affidavit and opt out of the 'Obamacare' program, and negotiate their own health insurance policies on their own terms... No IRS penalties and no federal Medicare/Medicaid taxes to pay, ever...

Naturally, those who choose to opt out will not receive the benefit of any of the government created healthcare programs, tax shelters and bankruptcy rules geared to help people with their inevitable healthcare needs. They will be locked out of any exchanges, co-ops or any other program that the government legalizes in the future. Also, insurers and providers will not be required to adhere to any of the new regulations, when dealing with those customers either. Those who want to be on their own, will be truly on their own... Most importantly, once people sign off to leave the 'Obamacare' system, they can't come back 10-25-50 years later, when they're broke/bankrupt or inevitably in poor health, and now need a 'taxpayer bailout' of their own. If they get into trouble later on, they'll have to hope that their family can help, or that there will be a charity there to provide life giving medical care.

I seriously would love to pass something like that, and let the stupid people slit their own throats. The sooner we thin the stupid ones out of the herd, the sooner this nation can get back on track.

This idea of tallpaguy is actually rather good. I'd vote for it.

Only if the stupid pig is wearing lipstick.......

4 years...uninsured adults won't get covered for 4 years. You won't have access to the exchange for 4 years...but we get to pay for it now.

Stupid bill. I would say you could move to Florida in 4 years, but since Pelosi has admitted that they don't intend to keep to cost savings outlined in the bill- ie cutting medicare spending - they are putting The Doc Fix right back in, our country will have greater deficits and economic strife. Again stupid bill.

Things like this get worked on and are generally "in progress" all the time.
Agree it's important to get something started. They've been trying to do this for most of my adult life. U.S. is in the minority of so called modern nations to not have some kind of standardized health care.

Things like this get worked on and are generally "in progress" all the time. Like social security, equal rights, medicare...why so negative?

This additional entitlement program added to the rest of the failing entitlement programs when are spending out of control is madness.

Do you realize that they are considering taking away our AAA rating? Do you realize that every "jobs bill" is adding billions to the deficit on top of the Stimulus Package that didn't work? Republicans told him to put the money towards helping small business...no he wanted shovel ready projects to fix our failing infrastructure. That didn't happen. Just as expected, the Stimulus is filled with fraud and mismanagment and waste of funds...most went to jobs already in existence not to create new jobs of the millions we lost in the recession...which means the U.S. cannot afford a new unpaid for entitlement. And Obamascare is not paid for. The bill is written as a joke of accounting trickery which double counts medicare cuts, tacks on a student loan government takeover to make it look better and pushes out benefits for 4 years for 10 years of added taxes.

This bill won't improve access or care and it will add to the deficit.

Agree it's important to get something started. They've been trying to do this for most of my adult life. U.S. is in the minority of so called modern nations to not have some kind of standardized health care.

This mess of bills, shady deals, parlimentary procedure, and accounting trickery is not where we should be starting. It won't produce quality health care and could very well break us.

I don't give a rat's ass what you think.......

It's actually what you think about the reality:

4 years...uninsured adults won't get covered for 4 years. You won't have access to the exchange for 4 years...but we get to pay for it now.

Again stupid bill.

Is this what you really support?
