Our troll is such a greedy son of a b****, isn't it?

It's bumping it's own threads now too. Ahh the ignore feature prohibits me from seeing it. But just seeing the author means I don't have to. One day we will have the ability to make the name invisible and it's thread titles. What a beautiful world it will be. What a glorious time to be free.

4 years...uninsured adults won't get covered for 4 years. You won't have access to the exchange for 4 years...but we get to pay for it now.
I don't care. I've got no current health problems. We've already got national health care. It's just a terrible patchwork and only about one in six qualifies. Gotta start somewhere.

I do care. It's not about whether we have current health problems...because anything could happen. It's about enacting the right policy to address this important issue. Mass Care is bankrupting Massachusetts. Our current spending is unsustainable. This is a start to a collapse not quality affordable universal healthcare because it is the wrong plan.

Obama just made the defining mistake of his Presidency.

Well, okay, but we could pull back from Afghanistan and Iraq and probably fund it just fine. We can't keep being the world's police force. Maybe this will force us to concern ourselves with our own problems first.

The Teabaggers are getting deesparate and showing thier TRUE colors as HCR gets closer to passage:

Tea Party Protests: 'Ni**er,' 'Faggot' Shouted At Members Of Congress
A staffer for Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) told reporters that Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-M.D.) had been spit on by a protestor. Rep. John Lewis (D-G.A.), a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a 'nigger.' And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was called a "faggot," as protestors shouted at him with deliberately lisp-y screams. Frank, approached in the halls after the president's speech, shrugged off the incident.
But Clyburn was downright incredulous, saying he had not witnessed such treatment since he was leading civil rights protests in South Carolina in the 1960s.
"It was absolutely shocking to me," Clyburn told the Huffington Post. "Last Monday, this past Monday, I stayed home to meet on the campus of Claflin University where fifty years ago as of last Monday... I led the first demonstrations in South Carolina, the sit ins... And quite frankly I heard some things today I have not heard since that day. I heard people saying things that I have not heard since March 15, 1960 when I was marching to try and get off the back of the bus."
"It doesn't make me nervous as all," the congressman said, when asked how the mob-like atmosphere made him feel. "In fact, as I said to one heckler, I am the hardest person in the world to intimidate, so they better go somewhere else."
Asked if he wanted an apology from the group of Republican lawmakers who had addressed the crowd and, in many ways, played on their worst fears of health care legislation, the Democratic Party, and the president, Clyburn replied:
"A lot of us have been saying for a long time that much of this, much of this is not about health care a all. And I think a lot of those people today demonstrated that this is not about health care... it is about trying to extend a basic fundamental right to people who are less powerful."

I would say that I'm outraged, but things like this have been going on for so long that I'm just completely numb when I see it. It isn't as if anyone couldn't figure out the underlaying issues surrounding race & discrimination that existed with their rants about Socialism, Obamacare and our "Founding Fathers". And as we get closer to passing Health Care Reform it becomes more and more apparent. I can only imagine how much louder some of these people will get when Financial Reform goes on the table next.

Perhaps some of the naysayers who claimed people were just using the "R" word as a political deflection can finally realize what others have been saying all along?

Do either of you honestly think that this bill is deficit neutral? Do you actually think this is going to work better than Mass Care, not go into insolvency like Medicare, or go bankrupt like Social Security?

Do you honestly think in our current economic condition we can enact Obama's agenda with this trillion dollar new entitlement, fighting two wars and spending more and more every month than we ever have in the past on China's credit card?

Honestly...do you actually think 32 million more people are going to get quality health care and those who have health care won't have anything change? Do you honestly think no one making under 250k is going to have their taxes go up?

The Dems are out in November.

I have a few questions I would like the neocon members of this site to answer.
The first is to Trinsanity...
How is it that you claim to have supported Hillary and believed her plan to be superior to Obama's when her plan was more costly?
The health care plans proposed by Senators Clinton and Obama are similar in many ways, but they differ in several important respects. The Clinton plan "mandates" health insurance for everyone. The Obama plan requires that all children have insurance, and subsidizes health care for other Americans who are presently uninsured. Clinton estimates that her plan will cost in the region of $110 billion a year; Obama has put a $50 to $65 billion price tag on his proposals.
Clinton vs. Obama on Health Care - Fact Checker

This question is for the neocons that refuse to admit that race is an issue in this debate. How do you attempt to explain the fact that when Bill Clinton attempted to do what Obama is now attempting none of the Republican leaders were running around screaming "socialist" or any of the crap they are currently doing?
Like Obama, Clinton came into office with reforming the nation's health care system as one of his top priorities. Then-first lady Hillary Clinton, who headed the administration's task force on reforming the system, delivered a 1,000-page plan that was dubbed "Hillary Care," which required Americans and permanent resident aliens to enroll in a health plan. Other provisions included Americans below a certain income level paying nothing for care.

This was so good, I had to post it twice. Tea Baggers answering how the Health Bill will destroy 'Mericuh.

YouTube - THE TEA PARTY & THE CIRCUS - Final Healthcare Reform Protest

It's just too . . . well, too too!

OMG. :11: Pure, in it's finest simplest form, ignorance. When asked what she didn't like about the bill the women couldn't even answer. She fell back on talking points 'that's not a bill that's socialized'. In fact not a single one could answer the question. They are nothing but foot soldiers sent to battle and they have no idea what they are battling. None. And when asked where are they getting their information of course FoxFauxFixed News.

People who follow the teachings of the Christ are pretty deep into socialism. Feed the hungry distribute your wealth...etc...and here, when something along the lines of Good Christianity becomes a facet of law, people get their heads in a blender...

..race is an issue, but I term it "stealth racism", where anything and everything that is negative can be tacked on to the President without relying on obvious slurs.

The only disadvantage is that the person now has to think and not lower themselves, while attempting to sound intelligent. A bad mix, and it results in the threads we have been reading.

Completely agree.
Stealth racism doesn't work and the ones who are using it are fools if they believe we can't see though it. There is a phrase that I've heard many times and it may seem harmless but it is really rather insulting. "You are a credit to your race". It may seem as if it's a compliment but does anyone ever say this to a white person? It reads as "Wow, I can hardly believe a black person could accomplish something like this." I experienced this from several parents of my classmates in the gifted program.
As for Christ's teachings and socialism I'm not surprised that many so called Christians fail to see that what they are against are actually mandated by Christ. In the video of the protesters ridiculing the man with Parkinson's I saw nothing Christian in their actions. Would Christ have told that man to get a job and stop expecting handouts? These neoChristians believe that hating gays and abortion is what Christianity is all about and is enough to get them into Heaven. Judgment Day is gonna be a bitch for them:tongue:

Now the real fun begins. We get to sit back and watch neocon heads explode. Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, and Malkin are gonna go further off their rockers. Trinsanity will begin to drool more than it usually does. Fun times ahead:smile:

as Martin Feldstein (about the only major economist who foresaw the financial meltdown) has pointed out, Obanomics, even before the additional deficits of Owe-bama's healt care plan, will have the effect of strangling future economic growth and lowering American living standards

reason enough for not implementing Obamacare, even without going into the political and cultural consequences

"...While the deficits caused by the fiscal stimulus package will end in 2011 and will help to sustain a fragile recovery in 2010, the deficits projected for the longer term are a threat to our economic future. The starting point for controlling those future deficits is for Congress to abandon the administration's health-care plan—a plan that will cost more than $1 trillion. ..."

Martin Feldstein: ObamaCare’s Crippling Deficits - WSJ.com

the situation is even more dire, given that Owe-bama has been able to fund his destruction of our economic future by borrowing from the asians, given that the past few weeks have seen that these same asians are now reducing their holdings of treasury debt

China has been a net seller of Treasuries for three straight months, the longest such stretch since the end of 2007. Chinese officials have questioned the dollar's role as a reserve currency and recently sought assurances about the safety of U.S. government debt as the budget deficit widens to a projected record $1.6 trillion this year.

The neocons have already proven to be sore losers after the general election. The bitterness last night is probably a sign of things to come:

Protesters hurl slurs and spit at Democrats

Civil rights icon and veteran Rep. John Lewis, D-Georgia, said anti-health care bill protesters Saturday repeatedly yelled the "N" word at him as he left a heath care meeting and walked to the Capitol. "I haven't seen heard anything like this in more than 40 years, maybe 45." Lewis said.

Protesters also hurled anti-gay comments at Rep. Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts, who is openly gay, as he left the same health care meeting that Lewis attended in a House office building.

A CNN producer overheard the word "faggot" yelled at Frank several times in the lobby of the Longworth building. Frank said he heard someone yell "homo" at him.

"I'm disappointed," Frank said. "There's an unwillingness to be civil."
