As Meg says television (generally) pisses me off.
There are three shows I watch regularly:
The Vicar of Dibley (PBS reruns from the England), Showtime's
True Blood, and
Nurse Jackie. In my view that's TV worth watching. But two of those show are pay channel programs.
With regard to the Octomom (so-named) Nadia Suleman? This is one very bizarre woman. I could see this coming as the media catapulted her to quasi-stardom from having all those babies.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that the woman wants to make $$ from her "efforts". No I won't watch.
The Early Show this morning did a segment where Paul Petersen (child actor advocate and once star of
The Donna Reed Show) has filed - along with Gloria Allred
- a lawsuit against the exploitation of these infants.
When this sort of thing becomes the sort of "stuff" people find enthralling (along with this John and Kate crap) it occurs to me it's a pretty sad statement about what grabs the attention of the general American audience.
To date no network has picked up the show.
