Not like I want to go there, but are the symptoms that I've explained anything like prostate cancer? :S

Edit: Actually, They diagnosed me with an infection. So I doubt it - maybe it's related to my prostate, but I made myself feel better. lol
Unless you have a huge famiky history of any of the following: Prostate, penile, testicular, anal, colorectal, uterine, endometrial, ovarian, cevical, or breast, with the majority being in your immediate fam, then I wouldn't worry.

If you do, and if symptoms continue, you may want to have a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) test as well as a DRE (Digital Rectal Exam) done.

Now that being said you could have prostatitis. This can in some cases be caused by the same pathogen as an UTI.

Of it is, then the meds will clear it up.

Hope that eases any concerns:smile:

I haven't felt any pain for the past 2 1/2 days so I'm thinking I'm all clear :) Just gotta finish the meds. The hospital never called back with positive results, and the urine sample results were sent to my regular doc, and he didn't call with any urgent news, so it seems to be all good :)

Glad to hear you got it resolved quickly and it wasn't anything serious.

I get a similar sensation after mountain biking if I'm really pounding hard and the saddle keeps wailing into my perineum. Better bike shorts and staying out of the saddle help.
