Hi all, wondering if anyone has ever had their OnlyFans account suspended? A few months ago, I purchased a custom video from a content creator I was following. I paid him via the Tips tool yet he never sent me the video. Despite numerous messages to him, I kept getting excuses. I checked the T&Cs of the site and read that OF was not responsible for any transactions between subscribers and creators, meaning I was on my own to get the video.

Finally, a month later, I had had enough and asked my credit card company for a refund, which they gave me. The next day I logged onto my OF account and got the following message:

Paragraph 8.j states this:

I have written several emails to them, explaining my request for a refund was indeed justified as I did not receive the item. They can even check my message history with the creator and see the excuses he was giving me. The chargeback request was not made in bad faith by me but they keep telling me the same thing - you paid for it, you received it, you asked for a refund, we're suspending your account until you pay us back. Setting aside the fact this company is worth over $2B and the amount I got back was $250, I kept writing them that no, I did not receive the item that I paid for and this is the reason why I asked for my money back. They either ignore that part or don't give a shit.

This is quite surprising to me considering the amount of time I've been an OF member and the amount of money I've spent on subscriptions and PPV videos.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so, what did you do? Did you get your account reinstated? Is there another email (other than support) that I should use? Appreciate the advice!

You should have contacted OnlyFans support. It does state that they do not get involved but If You reach out to them they will then contact the creator to sort out the custom or they will refund. If He does not do the custom within the 7days from the notification then they would have refunded You. Anyone that does a chargeback via their bank will instantly get suspended. I know this information is no good to You now but at least You now know why.

Wow. I feel sorry for you. May I ask what kind of video worths $250? Also, I’ve requested a refund on 3 separated occasions totaling $80 because the vids they sent me were not upon our agreement and all requests were approved. I think it essentially depends mostly on the case officer your request halben assigned to, mine were all nice understanding, that’s why.

Thanks Jay. The custom video was supposed to be the creator saying my name a few times while he jerked off in various ways. I provided him a list of what I was looking for him to do, but I should have known better than to have paid when he told me the video had been recorded yet I hadn't told him my name. That should have been clue #1, but stupidly I went ahead and paid him. I had done this a few other times with other creators and they always came through for me, so my track record was pretty good.

Did you contact them via support or another email?

Thanks Vince. I did read the T&Cs prior to asking for a refund but since it states they don't get involved, I didn't bother writing them, figuring they would tell me to contact the creator and work it out between ourselves, which I tried to do.

Guess I'll never be able to go back onto OF then, which is a shame.

A chargeback for any online merchant, adult or not, will almost always get your account banned. If they do, then consider that card "burned." You won't be able to use it to open a new account, and the underlying payment processor may also blocklist your card so it can't be used on other sides. That's the downside of online accounts vs. brick-and-mortar stores that can't ban you as quickly.

I have posted this advice here before. Always try resolving the issue with the merchant's internal customer service. If there is no agreeable resolution, consider it a lesson learned and the money lost. Only resort to chargeback if it's a significant amount, you're okay with your account being banned, and you're ready to replace your card so you can still use it with other websites that use the same underlying payment processor.

Luckily I received my money back, so that's the silver lining. Had it been under $100 I would not have bothered but since this creator does have a sketchy reputation, which I only found out after this occurred, getting my money back was most important. I can live without being a paying OF member, especially since most OF content is available on other free sites.

FYI I did sub under another email address but when I tried to use a new card, even from a different bank, the new account was automatically deleted. Not sure how that is possible but maybe my IP was flagged?

Yes, IP address, or if you used the same browser without incognito, they could've used cookies. Also, note that you are more "unique" on the internet than you may think; check your fingerprint on Am I Unique ? - web-am-i-unique

It is possible, though. Get a new IP, use another device if possible, use another browser (or clear everything in your current one), and check that your new "fingerprint" is different enough from your old one. Use another card from another bank and use another name. But you need to be careful; if you slip up and they can catch that your new account is related to the old/banned account, they may ban your new account, and you'll lose all purchases/subs made on that one (and yes, their TOS allows them to do that). So just avoiding a chargeback altogether is still the best option.

But now that you've experienced this, never ever ever ever ever ignore any red flags, in favour of your dick. Your wallet will thank you!
Good point and yes, there were red flags which I ignored (that's on me). I had also had very good experiences with purchasing custom videos from other OF creators without issue, so figured (stupidly) this experience would also be positive. Turns out I could not have been more wrong.

Lesson learned.

I’ve tried multiple times to contact support about tipping creators who did not deliver after over a year or people who took my money and deleted their pages and they did nothing. They just kept saying “tips are nonrefundable”

I had no idea about “unjustified chargeback” clause. That’s totally biased in their favor because they’re the ones who decide what’s justified. I told them that this creator I tipped $50 deleted his page without delivering my order and I kept getting automated responses over and over.

I experienced the same thing. I told them over and over again I did not receive the video I paid for, so I asked for my money back. They ignored me a ton of times and then in other emails said I should have contacted them (support) first, when it clearly states that they (support) are not responsible for agreements and purchases between creators and fans. Double-standard to be sure.

But maybe this is the beginning of the end of OnlyFans, as that seems to be a topic of conversation these days. One can only hope...

End of OnlyFans?

What pisses me off even more is that when creators delete their pages, you also lose access to the PPVs you paid for! Onlyfans doesn’t even notify you if a user deletes. You have to put two and two together from looking at your message history or purchases. That’s so scummy.

Over saturation is definitely true. It’s like looking at a busy store with a ton of choices. People aren’t going to look through and buy everything (PPVs) and will probably opt to not buy anything at all. Especially now that DRM is making PPV useless.

Unless people know for sure that a creator does NOT have DRM, they’re not going to subscribe, or they’re just going to support the creators they really like directly. However, in order to build that kind of rapport in the first place, they’d have to be subscribed or to have bought their stuff in the past so basically the actual non-scammers get screwed in this whole thing. People aren’t gonna put in all the time and money to make their own personal subscription based website, which I think is the best option without OF taking a cut.

I’ve also had the issue of not getting emailed as soon as I got a DM for about a year now. Support is offering no useful fixes I haven’t already tried. I tried different browsers, mobile and desktop, clearing cache and cookies, but nothing seems to work. I just have to look at the site and hope I didn’t miss any DMs.
