while in Los Angeles take a cheap Southwest Airlines flight to San Francisco for a day, or preferably a weekend. Not only is SF home of world-famous "The Castro" gay community, the Golden Gate Bridge ain't too bad either. I envy you your trip.

I've walked on the Golden Gate Bridge.... it made me feel a little nauseous! It wobbles so much!
