I did some stuff for an porn web site years ago. I'd say the only thing you may want to think about is: Are you okay with someone 10 years from now seeing this and bringing it to light? Who's to say that you might go into politics or maybe an actor. Skeletons in your closet will have a way of surfacing.

I would only recommend it if you can use an alias and stick by that name during your career in porn. Employers can investigate into your previous jobs and such to see how well you've performed and I doubt many want to hire a former porn actor, especially for important, visible jobs (politics, law, medicine, etc). Sure, even with an alias you might be found out, but it's much better than just leaving it right out there.

So be careful. But if you can do it, why not? It would be quite a story to tell about your life.

I was offered an all expense paid trip to Hawaii to do some nude modeling along with some JO videos but turned them down. You have to realize that you can expect someone you know to eventually find it and you must be comfortable with that fact. I was not.

I think the other posters have summed up most of the good and bad points. You get paid to have a good time. It's a thrill and a turn-on, you meet some interesting people (and some complete idiots), and if you go on to do duos etc, you get paid to have sex with some seriously sexy guys and/or girls.

However, you can guarantee someone you know will see it. Some people can't take the pressure and sometimes turn to drink or drugs. There are also health risks involved unless you stick to solos. It can also have an effect on your future career and relationships, not to mention your sex life. You've got to assume that at some point your current/future partner will learn that you've done porn, and that can ruin relationships. Another thing to consider is that the longer you're involved in porn, the more likely it is that you'll become jaded and get into more extreme sex, and plain vanilla just won't do it for you any more, which will affect any relationship you might have in the future. That doesn't happen to everyone, but it does to some.

The other thing you have to consider before starting is whether or not you'd like your mother or baby sister to see the pictures or vids or know that you're a sex worker, because any way you slice it or whatever spin you put on it, as soon as you accept money for performing any sexual act, you're rent.

I did porn for a while a few years ago. One of my colleagues bought a film I'd done and soon everyone I worked with knew a hell of a lot more about me than I really wanted them to. At the time it was pretty stressful, but it could have been worse. After a while, people didn't stop talking when I walked into a room and stopped whispering in corners and looking over at me and I just got on with life. Some people haven't been so lucky though. I enjoyed the work. It was a bit seedy occasionally, but it was fun all the same. It's quite a thrill to see your film on the shelves too, but every now and then when you walk down the street and some dodgy old guy gives you a funny look, you think, "Was he wanking over me last night?"

My advice? If you really want to do it, go for it, but be prepared for any consequences. Think it through carefully and don't let other people pressure you into doing it.

This is my concern. I have heard that just about any sex worker contracts something. People in this business have layed with many people, and you are laying with them. This means almost 100% they have something and so will you.

I'll be frank; if you have to ask you are not ready for it. A lot could go wrong, you're young and being young has it's own difficulties. Don't add to the fire esp. if you do not absolutely need the money.

Sextapes ALWAYS come to surface. Ask Paris Hilton , or Kim Kardashian.

But if you don'y really mind , since u are a guy , and they pay you good , then do it.

Very very well said!

50 years ago (yes, they had porn back then) there was not the 'instant access' there is today...

I've been asked to do porn quite a few times, and I seriously considered doing it when I live in California. Its a huge boost for the ego, but what about when you get ready to run for political office, and heaven knows you wouldn't want family to see you doing something like that. Besides very few people make a good living off doing porn, and the industry is riddled with drugs.

You might get into kinky or extreme sex? This is considered a downside? LOL.

I thought this is just the way life went: you get more deeply into your interests as time goes by . . . .
