Is it your back dude? That's what happens for me. I get a knot or nerve pinched or whatever the hell, one of those lumps in my back that refers up the right side of my neck and gives me a headache usually over my right eye. Can you afford massage? If you have a knot in your back or neck that's where they need to work on it.

Get well soon.

You're setting this up for corny innuendos aren't you?
Nothing wrong with a bit of innuendo to fix a sore head, dude.

I don't think it's my back, but I'm going to take a warm shower here, so any knots will loosen up. My migrane (which I thought I had gotten rid of months ago) is currently above my left eye and moving over to my right.

Advil isn't cutting it either... however, thanks for the love.

Blow some bubbles in bath, that always work for me.
Just try to relax, put some candles on the bathtub so you don't have that sharp light.
yeah, i know, looks like a romantic night, but just relax

That's me with the Advil [ibuprofen]. Maybe dulls it a little, but ineffective for removing the pain. Just gives me nausea on top of the nausea I get with the headache.

A bath may help Jeff. The reason I suggest massage is the way I understand it, the muscle becomes cramped to the point that circulation is compromised, then nutrients can't get in and waste products of metabolism can't get out.

The reason deep tissue massage works is because it restores circulation. It has been more effective for me than anything a doctor ever did. You just get drugs from them, many of which have worse side effects than the original problem. Look at Heath Ledger.

When I have a migraine, luckily they are few and far between these days, the only thing that helps is a prescription pain killer. After being on a migraine medicine for about 3 years, I have now been basically migraine free for about 1 1/2 years. I've only had a couple since I went off the migraine meds and they were not nearly as bad as they used to be.

Isn't Imitrex™ supposed to be helpful in many cases?
I wish I could help you, Jeffers.
I've never had a migraine.
(Right now, my right sacroiliac is dislocated ... bad pain when twisting in certain ways. Anaprox helps quite a bit. But that's my problem, not yours.)

Oh Jeff I feel your pain, the same thing happened to me this morning about 3:00. I have these tablets that I buy at Boots in London that are a miracle. Also a cold compress works wonders! Feel better!

I get headaches from caffiene deprivation.......real bad ones.

Excedrine{asprin/acetaminophine/caffiene combination} is the only one that works for me. I take 3 tablets and wash em down with a coke. 1/2 hour later headache is gone. Don't plan on getting to sleep for hours though.

Hope you feel better Jeff. I get them too and they're just awful! You have my sympathies. I use Excedrin Migraine, the TV turned to an insipid channel, like GSN or Soaps, to distract me, and a dark room.

I get them and they hurt like hell. I pop two Excedrin migraine- it has caffeine wit the painkiller- and either take a hot shower with the spray hitting where the pain is or lay a heating pad over it and try to sleep.

If it won't go away, I go to the doctor for Toradol which actually dilates the blood vessels and gets rid of the migraine as opposed to pain killers which just allow you to sleep through the pain. There are prescriptions, but I am one of the lucky people who can't tolerate triptans.

I get bad headaches from allergies and use advil PM it usually does the trick and most times allows me to sleep it off. If you have true migraines I don't think they will help you much though.

If I keep up regular cardio exercise, I don't get migraines. If I stop running or biking for about 6 six weeks, they come back. Once I killed one after it started by going for a run, but it was agony for the first kilometer. My brain felt like it was bouncing around in my skull. It was completely gone after 3K's though.

I think that Anaprox is the same as a drug from Roche called Apranax sold here. Apranax knocks them back pretty well, but it doesn't wipe them out completely. I'm told every girl in Turkey carries them in their purse for their periods. They are over the counter here, but I'm sure they are prescription in Canada.

See a doctor Jeff. My friend went through years of migraines and it turned out he was clenching his jaw as he slept. Lots of people do it. He was given a gum shield type thingy and they disappeared.
