What was his campagn song? Did he even have one? I didn't pay any attention to that aspect - I just assumed that he would try to impress us with his faux martial ardour with something like the Horst Wessel Lied.

All I know is that she picked some crummy Celine Dion song... I don't have anything against Celine or Hilary but... they are just soooo white! I remember that Clinton/Gore used "Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow" by Fleetwood Mac in 1996. Yes, that was his Conqueror on White Horse here to Rescue You from the Depression song. But I always thought of it as a Victory Night thing, more than a campaign thing. Maybe not; I'm older than dirt but still a couple of decades shy of remembering FDR.

The Depression overtones were wearing a bit thin by the '80s, for sure. Better than Buddy, Can You Spare a Dime, but still ...

The best suggestion in the video was probably Should I Stay or Should I Go. If only 'twer so simple ...
