My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge
~Kelis

And for the record, no, John Kerry did not choose this song.

Ahhh, but you haven't lived until you hear/see Peter Griffin do it.:biggrin1:

What was his campagn song? Did he even have one? I didn't pay any attention to that aspect - I just assumed that he would try to impress us with his faux martial ardour with something like the Horst Wessel Lied.

When did that capaign song crap start, anyway?

All I know is that she picked some crummy Celine Dion song... I don't have anything against Celine or Hilary but... they are just soooo white! I remember that Clinton/Gore used "Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow" by Fleetwood Mac in 1996. Leave it to the democrats to pick their theme songs and favorite books and shit... it's like Hilary's giant countrywide myspace page... and no her milkshake does NOT bring many boys to the yard at all! lol!!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe FDR started it. Happy Days Are Here Again was his theme song and remained the unofficial theme song of the Democratic Party up into the '80's.

Political campaign tunes...rather like football or rugby songs, only worse. Much worse.

Yes, that was his Conqueror on White Horse here to Rescue You from the Depression song. But I always thought of it as a Victory Night thing, more than a campaign thing. Maybe not; I'm older than dirt but still a couple of decades shy of remembering FDR.

The Depression overtones were wearing a bit thin by the '80s, for sure. Better than Buddy, Can You Spare a Dime, but still ...

The best suggestion in the video was probably Should I Stay or Should I Go. If only 'twer so simple ...
