I dunno, some of the most hung guys/friends I have had have been total nerds.

This has been my experience as well.

I think it's cool that we can show off our nerdy sides. My nerd habits are playing cribbage, David Lynch movies (and of course Twin Peaks) and lpsg.
Try to find something dorkier than this place.

yeah, I was also really impressed by the choreography. Not to mention the stage fighting skills of the two kids involved. I'd even go as far as to say that the video was better coreographed than pretty much all of the saber duels in the original trilogy, and was pretty close to being as well coreographed (if not quite as well executed) as the ones in the new triology. Not bad for a couple of high school kids on home computers.

I'll check out the video you referenced if I remember to tomorrow. I don't think I've seen it before.

RPGnet: Roleplaying Games & MoreRole Playing Games! (Yes I am an RPG Dork.)
501st Legion: Vader's Fist Cosplay! (They made fun of you for having lightsabers? Be glad you didn't show them your entire home made stormtrooper outfit!)
iTulip.com - The Contrary Market View - Related to Money Market Accounts, Money Exchange Rates, and Commodity Online Trading Economics! (I love it when economists say "Frothy Economy". It makes me think of Santorum.)

And witness the black hole of all MMORPG's, where even the pseduo-nerd can get trapped for hours with no hope of escape:

Science fiction fan, both movies and books. Favourite movie is Metropolis which many consider to be the first science fiction film. I even attempted to read Dianetics after reading a couple of L. Ron Hubbard's sci-fi books. I managed to get about halfway through. It was just as bad as his science fiction.

I read a lot of books on:

Alchemy. My tattoo (succus lunariae) is an old alchemy phrase.

Biographies of architects and designers. Many were/are very interesting people.

Botany. Plants, trees, and flowers fascinate me.

I can beat anyone's ass in Boggle. It's to the point where no one will play with me anymore. :(
Oh, and I work in tech support.

I have been getting multiple messages and comments about my Lightsabers...
wth?
am I the only person that loves starwars around here?
and yes, before you point it out..
I am a TOTAL dork.

but my theory is that everyone is a complete dork about something..
some people like movies..
cars..
clothes,
computers.
games..
ect..
what is your closet nerdy addiction?

Darling, you can come be dorky with me anytime. ;) We'll watch some anime, talk about string theory, and play some boggle, as long as you let me touch your lightsaber. <3

Favourite movie is Metropolis which many consider to be the first science fiction film.

Well, if you don't count Méliès ("Le Voyage dans la Lune", 1902 - a quarter century earlier than Lang's movie). Méliès also did a real weirdo about Arctic exploration in which all his intrepid explorers were eaten by a very unscientific giant ice-dwarf, which I don't think would qualify as SF. An old favorite of mine is a short, couldn't be more than a 2 reeler, and certainly predated WW1 - "Battle in the Clouds: a Romance of the Inventor of the Aerial Torpedo", which was neat-o in a Wellsian "Land Ironclads" or "War in the Air" sort of way.

I even attempted to read Dianetics after reading a couple of L. Ron Hubbard's sci-fi books. I managed to get about halfway through. It was just as bad as his science fiction.

L. Ron's real crime wasn't his B-feature output, but leading that old Astounding favorite van Vogt astray. v.V. apparently got tangled up in Dianetics for years, and when he finally returned to writing he just wasn't the same guy who'd cranked out Black Destroyer, Slan, Discord in Scarlet, Resurrection, Dormant, and The Pendulum (to name only a few). That was pretty wild stuff, particularly for 1939 and the early '40s.

Man, this is a nerd thread. Woo-hoo!
