- Wrey,
I have a cousin named Tiffany, and it's a very common name these days. Not sure whether it originated as a name because of Tiffany & Co. or because of Tiffany style lamps, or something else.
On the subject of names....
Tiffany style lamps, Tiffany & Co. the jewelry store and L.C. Tiffany all refer to Louis Comfort Tiffany and his family.
The Tiffany & Co. that most people know today is the remains of the Tiffany & Co. house of design which produced jewelry, stained glass of many kinds and other art objects beginning in the late 1800's. Louis Comfort Tiffany is perhaps the most famous member of the family having been extremely influential in the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements, both of which broke away from the seemingly eternal Victorian era and style.
(Ok, I'm done now)
