glumbert - Hippies Cry Over Dead Tree

I killed 30 of them this year preparing my property to build my new home...MADE OUT OF WOOD!
Soon I will burn the dead when it gets cold.
You need to take out your love beads man and dig this-

Join me in singing these deep meaning words:

Makin' a living the old hard way
Takin' and giving by day by day
I dig snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
My dog Sam eats purple flowers
We ain't got much but what we got's ours
We dig snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
I feel fine I'm talkin' bout peace of mind
I'm gonna take my time I'm gettin' the good sign
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
Loving the free and feelin' spirit
Of huggin' a tree when you get near it
Diggin' the snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
I feel fine I'm talkin' bout peace of mind
I'm gonna take my time I'm gettin' the good sign
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)
Draggin' the line (draggin' the line)...

I'll even give you the music so you can sing along like all the rest of us cats- Tommy James - Draggin' The Line

Peace out man I gotta go crash.

Yeah ok I think your misunderstanding whats that was about....

That wasn't just some bunch of wierdo hippies crying over a tree i dare say the whole thing has been taken well out of context.

Irish: to answer your question.... generally speaking the majority of "hippies" do understand death is a natural part of life... but so is mourning.

When you see on the news that a whole bunch of people have died.... do you feel loss? or do you feel nothing?

When you see on the news that some poor unfortunate animal or a group of animals have lost their lives or been treated cruelly do you feel loss? or do you feel nothing?

If you listen to that woman at the end of the clip she states quite clearly what is happening.... every day we pass places where trees have been torn down and while we may not acknowledge it consciously our subconscious recognizes that a piece of nature was sacrificed.

They weren't morning a tree.... they were mourning all trees that have been sacrificed so that man could "evolve" they were acknowledging mother natures sacrifice for her child.

Never forget, this planet is not ours to own, we are its children.... it feeds us, it clothes us, it gives us life........and if we do not acknowledge this it can at anytime take everything away from us.

Those that have lived through natural disasters are well aware of just how quickly mother nature can humble us.
